I like the Yogscast but yeah don't endorse them in the map. It'll cheapen the experience.

On a different note, how's Hartley going
Hartley is in half dev at the moment. I've kind of taken on GH3, Hartley and another project all at the same time. I've never been good at time management so I sorta add to Hartley whenever I feel like it at the moment. My priority at the moment is GH3. I'd love to show you the other project I've got but its soooo alpha right now. Also point taken on the Yogscast. I don't really watch them much because I'm not hip like you internet folk. I'm from hill folk.

It has two levels but it's kinda hard to see them both from top down. It's all bare bones atm. Props and lights. Got one more section to add before I start adding events.
Can I suggest a ventilation system between rooms? It could give players another way of escaping locked rooms if an event causes such, an alternative for exploration etc etc etc
A scary suggestion, a crawl space.
Will there be a slightly bigger emphasis on linear puzzles to "complete" throughout the map, like Ghost Hunt 1 & 2 or will it be roughly the same interactivity as the last 2?

When it comes to things like In GH2 with the skulls - that was something I added near the end of the map's creation. I felt comfortable enough to expand at that point so you never know what could happen.

To awnser your question, I think he probably will have testers but he will probably choose people that have experience with doing that, not some random fellow that just signed up and asks if he can be a tester.
I only use people I know face to face for testing. Wouldn't want it getting out before it's done.

I still need models of the body piles from any of the Left 4 Dead's if anyones interested. The dead bodies I mean - on the floor. More specifically, these people were killed and can no longer function. I also need them exported into whatever format HL2-EP2 uses.

Spent all night in the testbed with them and they 'work' really well. No texture issues or anything. Thanks again!

Besides, my written entry for a Hartley patient last year (Sarah Harvey) being admitted was good is plenty enough for me. Which, again, I'm thankful for. :smile:

Sorry I've been quiet as of late. I put a few things on Facebook but I've been really busy with getting Married, then Christmas and everything but it's all good because I've been working on GH3 here and there. I had to extend certain areas of the map because trying to squeeze at least three people through them at one time has lead to awkward conversations and stares at social gatherings. (The heating system wasn't on so we were already using our own body heat.) Maps a little bigger now. Then, right before Christmas some of you may have seen my post, I broke Vvis because I went full retard on one of the displacements - But it's all sorted now. I'm going to implement the events and the ghost detector and then bump this bitch up to Beta. As for the names for Hartley, they will still be used. They are currently with my co-developer for Hartley along with all that other stuff. Hartley Asylum is a grey area for me at the moment, I've not looked at it for a few months. I've got too much going on and I'd go insane. If you know what I mean. But it exists, there is a build. A half built build. Full of crazy, crazy ghosts. I hope you all had a great Christmas.
