Glad to see you're making good use of those corpses. Well done. ^^

Oh wow, very smart use of the corpses, just the screenshots of this map is making me a bit scared! (in a good way of course)
Looking forward to it!
I like the more detailed geometry I see here, very good, very well made.
Can't see any decals tho' (Except for the bloodstain). Yet to be added?

A fine observation. The build I'm running is actually called Gm_ghosthunt3_nooverlays - and contains no decals or overlays. I had some artifacting when I started to apply them so I'm leaving them till last.
More to come by the way.
...Basically, A different scare thing is added randomly, It could variate the playing experience and make it feel more dynamic.
That's actually quite a simple system, all you need is a few complete scares, a timer and a case.
Gonna try and put some more stuff on my site when I'm home later.
Edit:
New shots and info : http://sarethen.weebly.com/
Wow this map is so awesome, just the screenshots sended shivers through my spine, i can't wait to play it :D
I couldn't ever get the older Ghosthunt maps to work properly :c Hope this one has better scripting! Can't wait!
Lookin' pretty good here! Can't wait!
Oh, and there's some decals too, now.
NPCs that chase you? Sounds awesome. Who's hunting who? ;)
The mat in the second pic looks out of place. Is there a reason why it's there, in the middle of this industrial concrete/metal room? Is the ghosthunter making himself at home? :p
I'm interested to see what a dynamic heating system is.
Oh shit it's been a year from yesterday this thread was made. So, how's that map coming?
Good night sweet mod, and a flight of ghosts&spooks sing thee to thy rest.
I just want to take the time to say "Thank You" for the massive amounts of work you did to contribute something truly special to the community. I hope for the best for you and your family.
Your maps are something ive always something ive enjoyed by myself and with my friends.
Like many of the Above, thanks for the ghost train i suppose.
I guess i posted in here to say Good Luck, as your maps have always managed to be fun memories.
Cannot wait to play this

I have a few questions:
Lately, I've been running hammer out of the hammer.exe file in the bin folder from the "Source SDK Singleplayer 2013"
Is this how you make maps now that Steampipe raped us all? Because when I open my map, it is EXTREMELY laggy and skippy for a bit, eventually it calms down, but it's hard starting out a day of mapping.
That's not all, custom content must be put into the source sdk singlepayer 2013 folders to be used in the hammer editor. Custom content must also be put in the Ep2 game folders, so that's DOUBLED.
Also, running the map with F9 from the editor is impossible. You have to load it from the game itself. So that means that you have to compile the map in the editor, find the bsp int he sdk 2013 folder, then copy that bsp to the ep2 maps, and FINALLY I'm able to run the map. :suicide:
So, my main questions are:
A. Do you have these problems or similar ones?
B. Could you tell me what exe/method you use? Especially if you don't have these problems with it.

I had to re-download everything because of an upgrade and that seemed to iron out most of the issues I was having. Now I just browse to ep2\bin and run hammer from there. It has fits sometimes and it managed to restart my gpu driver a while ago but overall it's working fine. The lag seems odd it's almost like its precaching all of the props.
I don't get why people use the new SDK 2013. The old SDK works fine for me using the old method

Yeah that's what I thought the lag was too.
What exactly do you mean by "everything"?
As in, the SDK tools?
