Some people just feel that since they've been doing mapping forever then everyone else should be just as good as them and if they are releasing their first map they're obviously trying to troll the whole section.

I think you should release your first maps. (Saying the guy who's been mapping for 2 years and never has released a map) The reasons why: You get criticism to help increase your mapping skills. It lets people know what they like/don't like in a map. You get suggestions to improve your map. There's probably more, just don't want to think.

Why release this? I mean, its good for a beginner, but it's walls don't even have textures?! How can anyone honestly think this can compete with maps like Evocity, etc. I think that someone has definitely got to sticky a guideline that explains what makes a map release worthy. I understand people need some criticism, but why post in the releases section, posts some pics in the root mapping section, and honestly, there is such a thing as self-evaluation. Just my two cents.

I think I would use this, actually. Kill Iggy than use this to build. With my piece-of-crap laptop, this is most likely the only thing I can run. Going to download. It just seems fun for some reason. This is the only first map I find good, except that amazing one by some guy on here. Good job.

And they never take the damned suggestions that we give them unless said suggestions are incredibly dumb. That goes for around 90% of the beginners of FP.

Another idiotic thing about them? They don't say "I'm amazed". Instead, they say "I orgasmd ROFLOLOLOL" or "OMG i haz boner durrrrrrrr lol!" I just hate that to pieces. Anyone know a forum for Garry's Mod filled with actual SMART people?

No one thinks this map could ever compete with anything like Evocity. But, if he doesn't post it and get feedback, he'll never get better!

You shouldn't release your first few maps, all you'll get on Facepunch is criticism. Don't take it harshly, just use it to improve your mapping skills. Remember, we are here to help you not to hurt you.

What you said wasn't "l33t speak" and don't ever try to use it. You just abbreviated a lot of words and tried to kill of the d-pad arrow routine that sucks on PSP. Anyways, as I've learned from here, 90% of the comments on any map you release will be from someone that's just trying to be an asshole. Go with the helpful advice, DanielPinoy, SylverSun, Hakita, and Die_Hard in this case (on the front page).
