Organic is an interesting idea, very vague.. and would require some thought, before jumping into it... perhaps makes teamwork all the more important as everyone has to agree and be working towards the same idea.
I'd be willing to team up with somebody for a project. A few ideas: - Hot - Cold - Weather - Make-Your-Own-Landmark (Or just landmarks.) - Leisure
Next competition might be co-op.
Will there be another theme in the co-op, or is the theme just co-op?
Another theme too. Possibly one of these: Micronation Far-East Antarctica Mountain Wooden Modern
Micronation sounds cool.
Is micronation like, an island which you can claim as your own country or something? Sorry for being retarded.
I am also wondering what Micronation is? Like a rat map?
Physics, utlizing physics to make something interesting simple but can bake great results

Micronations sounds fun. I think we should do micronations but with co-op.
Micronations sounds like a lot of fun.
Cooperative micronations would be sweeeeeeeeet
Haha, if it's coop then fuck it, people have already called all the good partners. :saddowns:
I kind of want to see an Episode 3 knockoff competition where all the competitors have to make maps that would look like they were from Episode 3. Maybe have all of the competitors put them on YouTube and see how many actually believe that they are from Valve.
The only people I saw called were me/octaoctapuss and sweetshift/~ZOMG [editline]11:46PM[/editline]
I kind of want to see an Episode 3 knockoff competition where all the competitors have to make maps that would look like they were from Episode 3.
That would be good but getting views would be easier for some.
Actually, on second thought, maybe it would be better for a large collaboration project like that Portal 2 one in Valve Games and Mods.
I wanna see Oskutin enter a competition, haven't seen him do anything for a while, hehe.
I might team up with someone :v:
I'd be willing to team with you, Oskutin. There should be a co-op system. Eg. a Newbie with a Pro so they can learn as they go, or something. (I'm not saying I'm awful Oskutin, I just really want to partner with you. :smug: )
Co op is stupid IMO because you are reliant on eachother way too much, and projects like these usually end up not finished.
Exactly, I guess. C'mmon other mappers back me up here..... I suppose it will filter the results so that only the people who want in this competittion will push themselves to finish a map and submit it?
Co op is stupid IMO because you are reliant on eachother way too much, and projects like these usually end up not finished.
So don't enter. I've been watching all the competitions going by, over and over, and there's nothing unique about them, it's boring. This would just mix things up a bit, and teams have to Work Together.
Co op would be cool but no more than 2 people on a map.
I think there should be a lighting competition, maps would be voted on the designers ability to use light to bright out a scene, rather than spamming it with props for detail.
Not too sure about lighting comp, but maybe one of the rules could be no props?

Like, the two of you either map the inside or the outside of a massive facility, and if you map for indoors, windows to view the outdoor is allowed, but when mapping for indoor, outdoor area must not be playable, and when mapping for outdoor, indoor must not be playable.
No. That's stupid.

I say we go with organic. It'd be fun. Maybe organic meets non-organic? Something of the like.
