Facepunch official mapping competition discussion thread - Developers

I don't like the sound of organic to be honest.

What if the competition was to map the progress of a map? As you run along the level you can basically see how the mapper created it, it'll blend from dev textures into propper textures, from fullbright into propper lighting. Maybe you could even go as far as to add Hammer entity sprites, it would be some mindboggling shit, but I've NEVER seen it done before and it's all about being original, right?

You'd need a contest that would cover that specific map, not a contest to create that specific map.

So we need to bring our ideas together here. So Co op seems like a pritty well accepted idea. But what can we have with co op?

Just Micronations with a partner isn't specific, though. I say we do that.
