SO COOL!!! Best map ever made (looking on the pictures) :( but i can't download... when i have downloaded lik 7.894 MB then it stop downloading... why..? please help, someone

Yey, it is a good map but i have a big problem, the skybox doesn't show to me (the purple & black, missing texture). Also, all the bigs rocks in this map have a texture that i don't have. From where i must download these textures?

@ Ec0x, have you got EP2? Man this map is so damn awesome. It's awesome to play some sort of oldschool RPG on it with 2 invisible headadmins as gamemasters, no proper gamemode, just sandbox. Some toxic water could be cool tho.

The ambient sounds of this map are incredibly creepy once you've been playing alone in it for too long. Also, what's the third song on the radios? The one that goes "Maybe, you'll think of me."

Yea, a night version would be cool, especially at that camp.

I get to 878kb and then it stops the download, the zip file is then completely corrupted. I have tried downloading it about 10 times, it always stops at 878kb. Other people are having the same thing. I actually managed to download the whole file, however it was still corrupted even with the entire file downloaded.

I just made a break with my own video editing for a trailer of this map. But since it's my first time and seeing how sophisticated you trailer is, I got really discrouraged. :( I planned a little faster version, i.e. with more motion and a little faster music, while doing some fly-by's. But yours is just awesome, very well made, kudos! :)

Well, I didn't put so much energy in it yet, I basically cut together some scenes, not even smooth scene changes like you did or nice camera movement. My movements are simply myself moving with noclip and no hud. :D I tried to make it look like a cam flyby though, but I guess no match to a real one. The hardest part is to fill the underlying music with enough image material. But I guess I'll take some more time, adding a few subtle effects here and there, I don't know. I guess in the end the result just has to "feel" right. As I've said it's my very first time. I've very quickly familiarized myself with the editing software, but it takes some time and cuts, re-cuts, etc. to get it right. Takes a lot more time and talent than I thought, all the more awesome to see what you've accomplished.

I've had so much fun with this map. It's a true masterpiece...But it needs more houses!

NPCs in this map fucking kick ass. Whenever a scary sound plays, Rebels look around in a scared way. And with the nodes, I have seen the most awesome tactics EVER. But it is still the best on my own. With the footsteps and the wind. I have never felt so desolate. This map is so fucking lonely. I will never play it online, it would ruin the mood to see a laggy player bounce past you going "LOL I MADE A FORT COME SEE IT :keke: ". Also, I keep looking behind me in-game and real-life :tinfoil: .

someone want to host this somehwere fucking Garrysmod has it at 8 hours. Now 17 hours, looks absolutely brilliant!

This makes me want the the apocalipse come even more.

Excellent map, BigWig. Just trying out the other couple of maps you made in the past and they're pretty good too! Gonna try to post some sort of screencap of this soon if I can.

Nice map. If only I didn't get 3 FPS...

I wasn't expecting this map to look this appealing, but when I loaded it up I almost pissed myself. It has just the right amount of detail for Garrysmod. It doesn't look like a heap of shit and it's not overly-detailed to where it will lag. I love the theme as well, always loved post-apocalyptic themes; that and arctic themes. Good work man, deserves a mapping king.

That's the kind of things you can expect from one who has been around Facepunch longer than anyone else here.

Someone's been playing Fallout. :3: I loved all the Fallout references. Seriously. The song "Maybe" on the radios, the Fallout soundtrack playing in the crater, and the general style. I found the trailer house behind those hills and made a little home there. Oh yeah, and I love the reference to the exploding outhouse from Fallout 2. In the bunker in the rebel camp, if you trek all the way to the lowest level you'll find a heavy steel door that you can't open. In this room, there is also a ventilation grill you can destroy. Behind the grill is a gnome, who will say stuff. Pick him up, walk outside and go to the gas station. Behind the gas station is an outhouse. Drop the gnome into the poop hole and run. After it explodes, jump down the new hole and see the easter egg. This a reference to a mini quest in Fallout 2, where you could jump down an outhouse hole, put dynamite in there then leg it out. The explosion combined with the methane blows it to pieces, covering the town around it with... poop. :v: My only suggestion is to perhaps add more Ink Spots songs to the radio list (like Only a Shanty in Old Shanty Town) and perhaps increase the listening range of these radios. Otherwise, superb.

Is there an easy way to get back to the vault you spawn in? If not, I really think there should be as I find it to be one of the maps best features. A big automated door to the outside would be great.
