2 has more detail, but it needs the sign and poles on the front from the first. Although, first seems a bit more TF2-ish.

@ Lamarr Looks great, but the rock face has to go.
As mighty as those arches look, they would not support a mountain. A grassy hill sure, but not 10^7 tons of rock.
Also, those weed/grass models (detail sprites but i know they arnt) have never looked just right. The idea is correct, just.. something is off.

I like it, the scenery is very natural and it reminds me of the winter contest.
Add a few mounds of snow, but not too big. More like human hand-labour shoving snow into a pile.

My map's only hope of redemption for this is an impressive feat of deterioration mapping. For some reason FP's mapping community gets a boner over old or ruined structures, but flips off any attempt at mapping something that is of a reasonable standard for a developed country.

What's the map gonna be used for? Is it a css map? Cause you'll need to make bomb spots and stuff like that :). Or is it just a map?

Yes, i know that, you want to win the contest, but if you make a purpose in the map, people will actually download and play your map. Just saying...
Not sure if this is offtopic or not, just asking does anyone of you guys/girls recall a very good RP train map, RP_Transit i think it was called. Might generate some last minute ideas for any of you mapping and anyone who has played it.

It's Lamarr's map and he will decide whether he wants to release it or not, it has nothing to do with the contest nor it's results. I [i]probably[/i] won't be releasing mine publicly either.
Just a map obviously, Its not for anything apart from this contest.

My map's pretty much an opposite of Lamarr's. I intend for it to be a functional GMOD build map after this contest, with the contest merely being a handy wrapper that gives me a time target and reason to continue.
