Choose proper textures and take some time to scale and line them fittingly. Thats the main problem. Your experiments with brushwork is cool and now you're ready for more than just blocky shapes in your upcoming maps. Remember to include decals and a few props in all your future maps to increase detail further in otherwise possibly bland areas. Edit: Oh I looked at what you initially posted. You should now start thinkin' about 3d skyboxes and HDR which both hugely improve the looks of any map unless you totally fuck up. Some blood decals look a bit strange in your last screenshots. Try just to use them on straight walls.
