DX9 will be grass, but DX 8.1 will be sand, etc. I know the grass in gm_construct back in the day would turn to sand if you ran at DX6 or DX7.

Winston. You need new graphics. Like someone said I believe this has to do with the dx versions, and the textures fallback system for dealing with that shit. I don't however understand how it affects your map, but not the rallye one because you said you saw everything fine on that one right?

This is such a ridiculously simple problem, but it's generated this much commotion? Well I can't say I'm surprised, really. But the only plausible info I've seen regarding your texture issue is the fallback material issue that MacHaddock mentioned. As others have said, just try a different blend texture and see if it works. If you can extract the VMT with the same name as the blend texture you're currently using, it might shed some light on your issue. That info and your PC specs, ideally what DX version you run on. This day and age you don't want anything less than DX9 support.
