Hey guys, what sort of websites do you know of where I could get some good concept art, photos, and other miscellaneous ideas and stuff for mapping? I already have a ~3gb folder that's filled with this sort of thing but it's always good to get more.
Download the svn, extract the SwarmDeferred folder inside of build to your steamapps/sourcemods folder and restart Steam. The mod is named SwarmBase by default.
Call me stupid, but I can't figure out how to download the SVN. I'm not really familiar with these code/doc google sites and even less familiar with Source code. I looked on the "Downloads" page, but there's nothing there. Do I just copy paste the text from the "trunk" file into my alien swarm innards?

Go install tortoise SVN and once it's finished installing (and you've restarted windows explorer, I think it does it automatically for you to avoid messing about.) Then make a folder on your desktop, right click -> SVN Checkout, paste in "http://swarm-deferred.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/" and click ok.
After it finishes downloading (the status box will say "completed at revision xx" you can close the window and go into that folder, then copy the SwarmDeferred folder from inside "build" to your steam/steamapps/sourcemods folder and restart steam.
When you've done that, launch it (it will be called SwarmBase on your steam game list) and press tab to open the lighting editor once you've opened up a map.

The mod soundtrack, should be updating it with song/ambient concepts about every week.
There's one song on it right now, a concept I've been working on all day.
Also, cats.

Hot damn that's a good song considering the theme. Kinda reminds me of LA noire when you find a clue

Thanks! It IS a zombie mod, so dark ambient is my main focus.
Waiting Legend to install it into INFRA
Hahaha, you're forever telling me AMD is shit and not to go with them. Hell, you despise Nathan because he wanted me to have a AMD setup. Your also always telling me not get a I7. When you are going to buy one. Hypocrite...
I need an i7 for the use of virtual machines and I went for the 7950 solely due to fact I want an Eyefinity setup eventually :)
[editline]30th May 2012[/editline]
and I always said AMD Processors were crap at the minute and Intel are dominating the market, I never really bad mouthed their cards apart from driver support.
You can easily use virtual machines on a I5.
And nope. You said and I quite; "AMD is shit. Nathan is a AMD fan boy. I would always go with Nvidia."
True they can, but I am going to be running a substantial amount of them and I wish for nothing to hinder my efforts in using them.

Quote it properly, as I never bad mouthed their cards apart from driver support, AMD processors are what I would always bad mouth when helping you with your setup as the intel Sandy/Ivy are farly superior.
Sure.
Yup, Ubuntu Virtual machines, Windows Server machines and OSX Machines hopefully.

Nvidia 6 series can run 3 monitors on a single gpu too though.

I'll be crossfiring eventually babe for the six monitor support, unless the GTX 680 can do that when in SLI? Other reason I got the 7950 is because the 680 was out of stock with suppliers.

Yes, the 680 can do that too.
Hnnng, everything just arrived, it's a nice little card actually, Huge as fuck, I'll see how it performs and if the 680 comes back in stock and I'm not happy with the 7950 I'll exchange
