Not to be off topic, (not that I could) but I was fishing through the unknown depths of my Hard Disk, and found this picture from when I was young. A robin built a nest right outside of our window, so we watched it, and the hatching little chicks. After that we found running through the grass, so we helped it move to a safer location.
Cute little thing ain't it?
Can you get an upwards shot of the staircase at all?
there aren't any stairs, just a big pit with a handrail on it
[editline]5th July 2012[/editline]

Where there appears to be stairs is actually a large drop off?
How many children do you have down there?

D'awww.
Almost a week ago, I found this fellow in the alleyway next to my house. Lucanus cervus (Stag beetle for you non-entomologists) is on the list of protected species in the UK, so I let him go after observing him for a bit.

In place of a handshake, I let him grab my finger.

I feel like there is some trickery about sir.

Mean.
That seems like it would hurt.
Not at all. The jaws of the male stag beetle are designed for jousting matches with rivals. Whomever wins gets the lady, so they are blunt and harmless.
It's the female's you want to look out for, because their jaws are smaller but can draw blood in Human skin.
To be honest, it's his feet that hurt a tiny bit. They end in small hooks to get a better grip.

Really? It looks more like the male could stab you and give you lyme disease. Huh.
I was going to put that "reading rainbow: the more you know" picture here, but I was afraid of meme-abuse bans.

I haven't posted a single picture on fear of meme abuse, I need someone to explain to me where that rule starts and ends.
Anyway back on topic, I can say that I am slightly uncomfortable in the presence of massive beetles with mouth pieces such as that, if I saw one of those near me I would probably flip shit.
I haven't posted a single picture on fear of meme abuse, I need someone to explain to me where that rule starts and ends.
The true definition of what constitutes a true meme is pretty disputed, but it's mostly stuff like "inb4", x-y-memes, and reaction images. The reading rainbow: the more you know symbol has been pretty widely used to convey something you didn't know before, so it could technically count as a meme, and anything that IS a meme is meme abuse.
Hell, I've lost track of what we were talking about. Back to beetle discussion.
oh man, I found my old ksp 0.8.5! Now to figure out what coding language I should start out in, since I can't find that lighting solution thingy that I saw years ago...

That's a nice watch. It would be a shame if something bad happened to it.

I thought lyme disease is more commonly got from rats pissing on you, and the piss getting into your bloodstream.

Probably will. I have a knack for breaking things by accident.

Whatever happened to Mr Anonymous' radio station, is he still running that sucker?
This reminds me of a time when I was in grade 9, and some grade 12's from another school came to our school and gave a bunch of kids outside brownies mixed in with laxatives.
I think you can guess what happened next, right?

What a shitty thing to do...
South Park is distasteful.

The first bunch of series' were incredibly amusing, the newer series' have started to slip a fair amount.

This is why I never accept brownies from strangers in public who are older than me
puppies and candies are fine, though.
