Maybe I need to migrate to another engine.[/QUOTE] He is right generally oblivion meshes are low detail as they relied on normal maps for the real magic but the normal maps are also pretty low res as can be seen if you pay attention to interiors and rocks. We need a mappers inspiration thread.

Right...time to try and blast badass music (nickleback) and get my map on. And not fall back to playing minecraft.

wait. i started mapping a small car tunnel. it turned into a sewer tunnel. then it turned into a sewer system with pipes and shit. now its becoming a bunker of some sorts. maybe ill take some ideas from the fallout vaults.
