It's stereotyping, which is wrong. Like saying that black people have more accidents than white people because black people go round fast food places doing drive by shoot-outs. Like, what the fuck. I am sensible.
It's not sterotyping, its histogram statistics. The figures are based off accident figures depending on age, job, car type, area where you live, and features on the car like alarm, etc. Right now, they know nothing about you, you are a new driver and you have no no claims bonus. My first insurance premium for the micra was 1000 quid. Since getting out of the danger zone, i am now paying only 600 quid, and that was based purely off my age. How many drivers are going to street race a micra auto with a 1.2l engine. Not many :) You can get black box insurance, which will be a lot cheaper. It monitors your driving style, so if you are a lunatic, your insurance premiums can be adjusted, but if you are careful, they will go down.

You spend the entire time worrying that you'll break the speed limit and your premiums will quadruple.
Man, I like going fast. I am not going to lie. On the road, I will be safe. Today, I only used upto gear 2 and that got me 30 - 40MPH. And I just idled there. But, some days, I just want to go out, find a empty road. And pelt it for fun!
Go out into the country...that's where all the fun roads are.

I'll point a few out Snake pass: 53.495603,-1.797689 Best run from Sheffield down to glossop early morning http://goo.gl/maps/kZzEp My favourite 7 miles of road ever. Just be sure you know how close you can get to that hedge comfortably. 56.663774,-4.934973 This road is bloody awesome Cat and Fiddle in the peak district is worth a look too.
I live on the complete opposite end of England. In Portsmouth. Getting from here to there takes just under 9 hours by car on motorway. God only knows how long it would take on a 125, plus, I'm not allowed on motorways. Haha.
I live in the Midlands, not terribly easy for me to get to either, but so so so worth it.
I live in the Midlands, not terribly easy for me to get to either, but so so so worth it.
Loads of quiet crazy roads in the lecister area :)
Loads of quiet crazy roads in the lecister area :)
Pick any of those roads I marked and it will ruin all of your local roads forever, trust me.
Pick any of those roads I marked and it will ruin all of your local roads forever, trust me.
They can beat unlit roads, where the road designer was a lunatic and added lots of tight bends, humped bridges and two way streets larger enough for a single car to pass down? Oh, and then sprinkle on nutter villagers who will do 50 on those roads regardless of weather.
If I had to ride anything it'd be one of these: [img_thumb]http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/uploadedImages/MC_Specs/1972/Triumph/1972_Triumph_650_Bonneville_T120RV.jpg[/img_thumb] There's one in my parents garage. Take the lake district for example, they have several 90+ degree (one corner is a junction where you need to turn 120 degrees, see the map) bends no verge just a solid wall. You can fit a ford focus side by side with most cars coming the other way with a few inches to spare if you're willing to trim vegetation and ballsy. It's all single track with passing places, road surface is good though. Grippy. Adverse cambers, blind crests and there's one properly straight section for about 150 yards, the rest is left right left (there isnt enough room for me to reach 80, at least not at the same time as making the next corner), on the edge of your seat knowing at any moment you could have to try and be as far into the wall without actually being the wall. Of course it's unlit, it's the lake district.
Oh hey, 25 posts! Oh, they're all about bikes...

I live right next to the freeway. Motorcycles and cops all day every day. Whenever I'm playing GTA IV, sometimes I confuse the sirens outside for ones in the game and I always go "oh shit, did I just hit somebody?"
and one conspiracy theorist :V
You mean nut job. Same thing really... My opinion of conspiracy thoerists comes from working with one. He thought the govt were following him, and he wouldn't have an oyster card (pre pay touch travelcard) because he thought that it would help them track him.
