Oh great. All because I stood up for Stiffy, who I really have no cue why he gets a bunch of hate. Why can't any of you just get along? There was literally no reason for any of that at all. I say something about Stiffy, VIOLATION comments on how he is labeled and isn't accepted despite being a decent person also, and then a full out argument breaks out over nothing.
Ever since I've been avidly posting on Facepunch, I've seen the SAME group of people, in the way that all the "major" people of the section have been constant for a very very long time. I've also seen most new members get bashed and ganged up on for little reason at all, as in Stiffy, Turtleey, Drsalvador (yes even him. he changed and nobody accepted it), and now VIOLATION. You guys accepted Antec back in when he revealed who he was, but to be honest, I highly doubt some of you would have had he used his same username.
I'm really sick of all this elitist crap where certain people believe they are "the best" and acting like mapping is some exclusive club only they can be in. There's no inclusion here. I defended this thread the first time, considering it really wasn't that bad, and while there was drama, it was resolved and didn't get out of hand. I'm done with this thread and the elitist attitudes it brings. To that, I say good riddance to this thread, and I'm happy it's closing.
(And no I don't mean the entire section. Most of you guys are great.)

of course were going to be more likely to welcome someone if they change their name, its just bias. stiffy is mainly disliked because he acts rude and dumb, turtleey isnt really that disliked (i dont like him much because hes not normally a nice guy) and salvador didnt even try to rejoin the mapping section. i can quote him on that.

It definitely led to it, and even if it didn't, I still mean the same. Even IF Anonymous is the only one who does it (the hate towards new members who made mistakes, that whole "not a mapper" thing he went on about, and general cause of drama), it's still a problem with the thread in general. Anonymous has said before that he's one of those people who will keep whatever argument is going on until he wins, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to also.

Pure Drama as always, thank fuck this thread is getting closed, there's way to much hate flinging between the users. It's absolutely no good for the community and reflects badly upon the whole mapping section, you should all really learn not to fuel arguments and just ignore it, take it to PMs or something.
