That would be interesting, although some issues would be that people don't have those maps anymore.
I'd do it if there was one though, but I'd have to remake it from a video I took of it.

Could simply recreate it from what we remember.
My first map was this flat grassy plane with a small town thing in the middle of it. The town had a warehouse with an underground slime filled tunnel, a weird little apartment building with doors that didnt really work, and a combine-themed police station with the RT camera setup for TVs in it. I also made a short wall around it, and way out at the corner of the map there was this little shack with a basement with a TV in it. The warehouse also had one of those giant screens from C17 on it, but I cant remember if I ever got the screen to work. The whole thing wasnt actually lit too badly.
Later on I tried to make a cylindrical combine building, but I carved a lot and eventually it just wouldnt compile.

It was a single player map set in the HL2 universe, in some combine controlled place. It just started out messing about with scripted sequences and then it turned into a whole level. Never got around to finishing it since there were too many leaks causing problems. I never used carve again. Pretty sure I still got the map somewhere on my computer.
The first map I made ever was in Worldcraft for HL1. I didn't understand the scale at the time so the map was huge! It was just a tall room with various platforms that were way to high to get to without no-clipping.
The first map I made that ended up turning into a reasonably good map was my map called dm_deathrock. Original it was just a small room with a pit with spikes in it, me and my friend would spawn scientists into to kill them.
Over time I started adding more rooms and eventually outside areas. I've added to this map over the years, it eventually ended up being a death match map. You can see it below:

The map was called zs_pub every time I played it.
Noxious was my least played server when it came to Zombie Survival, there were a few other servers (which names I've forgotten) that played the map regularly, loads of players seemed to enjoy it and I did too.
It was one of the top 5 maps played on one of the servers I was a regular on. Don't know about anywhere else.
My first map was a piece of shit square with a set of stairs.
It was a hollow brick box with a single, red, flickering light and a bunch of zombies.

Wow you made that? I used to play it all the time in noxiousnet's zombie survival.
My first map was basically a big room with a bunch of random things I was messing around with trying to figure out how to makes stairs and shapes.
default brick box with a grass floor (all surfaces of the floor block) and a stretched out sphere hanging from a platform that you couldn't get to without noclip

casino_beta would be the first map i've worked on, back from like early 2010.
It's not much for visuals, but it's a testing ground where I've tried to recreate anything of note I've seen in other maps, kinda like a sheet of scrap paper the rough sketch gets tossed on to.

My first map was a joyous clusterfuck, it consisted of two levels, an indoor "Deathmatch" arena with a teleport to an upper level racetrack which consisted of no skybox thus creating a leak and thus ruining everything.
A deep sea themed submarine map which took up the whole hammer grid. It had some shipwrecks and some volcanic vents, but it was nothing special.

My first map consisted of two rooms with some zombies, weapons and some other small stuff in it. Made it for HL1 around the year 2000, unfortunately through numerous of computer changes and hard drive resets, I have lost it. Still quite proud of it, even if it didn't quite work out as I wanted.
I'm pretty impressed with my first map. No leaks had proper lighting. It's about 5 years old.
The first ever map I made that doesn't count fucking around or releasing it has to be this (did it in the last 2 days).
It's also the only map where I actually put effort.

It's really fun to map when you know how to use hammer now.
It was made back in 2007 and I no longer have it, but it was an unlit 4x8 square meter room (just a hollowed brush) with a dirt floor and I used an actual skybox texture instead of the tool texture so it was stretched to hell and looked like shit. The only object there was a random antlion thumper.
My first map was called gm_scream, I can't remember exactly when I started working on it but I can say it was right after Gmod 9.0 came out so around 2005. It was a horror map spawned from boredom and my want to learn how to make maps. I had a discussion with a couple friends on what would scare them and I started working on it. I never did finish it and somewhere it the depths of hell the original FP thread for it might be somewhere.

I look at your lighting, and I swear alot of mappers still do improper lighting where you put the entity above the light

Yeah, I never really read any tutorials on lighting till a few projects down the list. The map was full of leaks too, I ended up surrounding the whole map in a box so it was playable. I might go back and redo it some time but I have to find a new name because someone else has used the gm_scream name now haha.

My first map was some kind of dormitory
My first map had some potential but I've never touched it since I've started other projects. I was going to do a rat styled park with a pool area under ground. I got the big sandbox and pool area done, and I slapped some props in the corners which caused leaks and I didn't understand this at the times so I just left it to collect dust :P
And to add to the originality I couldn't think of a name for it so it was either gm_sandbox or gm_biopsybox, you can guess which one I chose.
