managed to compile it and get it working, many thanks to pj for helping me with the texture error
They grow up so fast :britain:
Janooba and I are entering this contest.
Myself and cheesywlz will be entering.
Need a partner, hit me up via pm/steam if you're interested.
This contest looks freaking awesome. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Working with Spycrabz.
I'm entering, anyone feel like joining me?
Me and Stinkfire will be pairing up.
I'm working with Pelf now.
Actually half tempted to enter, however I feel my lack of commitment and general apathy would be a let down to anyone who team'd up with me. Excellent theme though.
I reckon Not_Yet and BJK have the best previews so far- But I wonder what Firegod and Iron_Phoenix are cooking up. :buddy:

Excellent theme though.
That's what I thought at first. I loved the theme, but I wasn't too sure about the partner idea. I mean it's brilliant really, but I felt as if I'd just let someone down. But now I can see the plus side to having a partner. If you'd get stuck on something annoying or lose inspiration, your partner might be able to give input and get the flow going again. Kickass.

This seems great and if anyone needs a team member and provides the idea, just contact me via PM.
This sounds like a stargate atlantis episode.

I'm entering with DanielPinoy
I would join but I can't think of anything original with Micronations.

I think you could improve it by changing the texture on either the bottom or the top stick to break it up a bit. Like this
Looks good guys, I like the tropical feel so far.. Me, well I'm going to try something I did before, but improve upon it, hopefully with Selbs' help, we'll be able to improve upon the concept more than ever. Here's a couple of mess around sessions I've had so far, nothing concrete yet. And another thing I tried.. Looking very nice there DeadChicken. What is that water texture its sexy?
Shit DeadChicken, that last one could almost be a photo. I also want to know what that water texture is. This competition is gonna be tough.
I would participate but no one is worthy of my god-like mapping abilities. But in all seriousness I'm not that great. Good luck to everyone!
Hehe, thanks.. I don't actually remember, I was just picking water textures at random to see their outcome, I'll tell you If I find it.
I strongly recommend that contestants look at some reference pictures of open ocean to create a water texture that looks realistic. Because water's going to be a pretty big part of your map (unless your micro-nation is nestled within another country).
my reference includes: the Waterworld.. World is an eerily flat ocean, it gives me a lot of room for creativity, ofcourse, we can experiment with that too.

Lets hope your map gets more credit than the movie.
