Mont Saint Michel (Island Fortress in Normandy)

We were [url=http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1206488&page=216]talking in the LMAO Pics thread[/url] about Mont Saint Michel recently and how cool it is, got me thinking a map based off of it would be pretty cool. I know it's pretty ambitious, but I'm just throwing it out there as a cool idea.

Mont Saint Michelle is an medieval island fortress in Normandy, France. It has a small town of only 30 residents and a huge cathedral on top.

I've always wanted to make a map like that, i was planning it on paper. But i didn't know there was an actual place like this. i might draw some inspiration from this

I think you'd need to make a lot of architectural details into models, so you'd need a modeller

I can do 3D models, actually, I'd be interested in making some stuff for the map if someone gets on it.

If you visited Mont Saint Michel and went everywhere on the island and perhaps adding the road and stuff all the way back to the car park, then it might make a rather good map for Gmod.

I went last year (all I remember now is the weapon shop.....) but as has been said, it would be hard. It would be complicated. It would take ages..... It would make a good map though.

I think if you wanted to recreate this you would have to make it either really small or make like, half of it into a skybox.
