Is there a particular reason some textures show up white? The round tube thing which has fish in it is white, and when you press the button to make the water in the room rise up, its white aswell. Missing something?
I tested the map in DirectX 8 mode one time, and i got white textures where there was supposed to be refraction. So, you must be running in Directx 8 mode for some reason
http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=118671 I made you a map icon.
I loved your maps, but can I make a couple suggestions? Okay, first, we need more rooms. I would like to have a complex with a control room and stuff. Maybe some rooms that can be flooded (If possible of course) and nothing else crosses my mind at the moment.
January? are you in the southern hemisphere?
Up here in January, you can take a piss and the piss sometimes freezes before it hits the ground. Then you discover that it can be used as a weapon and you piss at a tree and it looks hilarious because it's like an icicle sticking out the side of the tree with a bunch of little branches flying off.
Does anyone happen to get invisible wall glitches? I haven't touched anything in my garrysmod/garrysmod folder in a long, so I have no idea what could have happened. Is it related to the recent Gmod updates? I think thats glass. -_-
I think thats glass. -_-
You should try looking a little closer to the pictures. It is not about the glass. It is about things not being rendered or what ever the appropriate term is for this case. In the first picture, you are supposed to see fish and seaweed, but it is only visible if your inside the water and not when your inside the base. The other two pictures show that sides of the base are invisible when they should not be.
WHAT IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK TO HIS FIRST ONE!!!!!?????
There is this wonderful thing on the internet. It is called a "search engine". People will use this "search engine" to locate things by way of "keywords".
WHAT IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK TO HIS FIRST ONE!!!!!?????
Wow, I can't believe I share a country with this jerk off.
The second of my underwater base maps. I responded to the suggestions given on these forums by making this one much bigger; it's actually as big as the Source Engine would let me make it. However there is one source limitation that I simply cannot overcome: THERE CANNOT BE A SURFACE!! If I make an underwater base with glass windows, there simply cannot be an above-water island or "elevator" like so many people suggested. I really tried to make one, but the main problem was that the env_fog_controller entities are server-side, not client-side. I can't try to explain this, but just trust me. There is coral, kelp, little coral fish (just in the base), and a sunken ship. I also threw in some underwater theme music to listen to as you explore the ocean floor. Finally, I built an airlock to easily launch your submarine contraptions. If I can (User was banned for this post ("Reaction video" - Craptasket))
Thankful for that bump. Always thought that map was called "sealab" but couldnt find it anywhere. That map is so dope, I really like its uniqueness and cool atmosphere. IMO pretty refreshing after seeing countless cities with generic structure and buildings
