you noticed really useful things, but I'm a little bit confused, what did you mean ? That is an action-genre gamemode that is based on arena-like maps if I understood right.. I thought that many of maps with huge passes will confuse people.. I played many of them like that: innocents are being trapped in the difficult architecture with many of ways and passes and traitors cant find them.. Result: noone will play this map in TTT then anymore, even if it has awesome atmosphere and graphics.. Are my passes in the level terrible ? PS. I didnt play Deus Ex, should to buy :)

But i do know things such as the fact that a roadway should be either on the same level as the surrounding road, or slightly below it: Before worrying about mapping for a gamemode, just try and create a map that looks good. Emulate your surroundings, or images on the web. Create a town based off similar towns in your area. You will find that they all have similar characteristics.
Take Deus Ex as an example. You can take the rooftops, the sewers, or the front door. Although the routes are there for you to use, the player isn't made aware of any bar the front door, without further exploration. You should be able to reward the player with different routes if they explore and scout. Some of that you kind of did with the hole in the road tunnel, but my qualm with that was that the whole area looked messy. Imagine yourself in the situation of the player. This is a tool i use for my stuff. You are airdropped on to an overpass. The wind blows through an empty town, stirring up dust and debris. You can see an obvious path through the middle from your vantage point, but maybe when you get down, you will find a loose vent that will take you into a building, or a sewer entrance partially hidden behind the wreck of a burnt out car. I think people's main issue with it is the amount of bugs you left in. Now i'm a games tester with five years of experience under my belt, but the bugs that were left in were very obvious. Just play through the map as a user and as a tester. The first will notice things like the oddly placed signs or the clipping, the second will deal with the z-fighting and the harder to see floating objects.
You can take the fucking roof tops?! [editline]3rd September 2011[/editline]
you noticed really useful things, but I'm a little bit confused, what did you mean ? I think there are about four different ways into the police station, and far more little vent runs when inside :)
Except it didn't have an awesome atmosphere.
what are you about ? I was talking about not my map - I was talking about the levels with many of exits and passes.. anyway, I have lost my last .vmf file and cant decompile the finish BSP so this map wont see a daylight with no bugs

Am I playing it right? I still died, of course. When I tried to get in via sewer I need the code, which I can't find anywhere.

Or you can just hack it. There is also a vent on the roof up the fire escape, and about half way up.
This thread was awesome to read.

Also, did you know that if you throw a barrel and it hits a citizen, they die and their friends get angry and shoot you so you have to load from your last autosave which was from the over side of the city? Because I sure didn't.
Each option contains a different bit of info. I think the 2000 one tells you the code.
Lets start a party dedicated to the 100th post of pointless dialogue of 2 men and 1 little noob lol to a moderator, or to a body who wants to ban me or close this thread: Dont close it, I have another maps which should have no own threads so I will post there screenshots, thanks
None of this has been pointless. If you have been finding mine and tcb's opinions pointless, then maybe the forum really isn't for you.
No, it was pointfull, of course, but not at all. For example messages about Deus Ex walkthrough, for me it was pointless at all.

Anyway, this was a minor "crossed the points at the red light" derail. Some are more on the scale of potters bar.
Okay I understood what was the problem :suicide: The decals. They were too much and made this Reliable Snapshot Overflow error. Hope it will help the others. EDIT: Maybe you might want (dont think so though) to see this map in 3D (red/cyan) :D
I'm not going to check the map ingame. Partly because i judge by screenshots,
*Sigh*
*Sigh*
Why are you still here?
*Sigh*
*sigh* Also, if you read further, you will know that i gave him a complete breakdown of what was wrong after playing it. So either show us what you can do, or stop pissing in the well.
*Sigh*
Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god. Just fucking go.
well I should be stupid for making this for so long though really much of new things were added. Also, much of mapping errors were crossed out, but I have no time or any wish either to continue mapping and fixing any new mistakes of the final version. hello again. maybe I'm an ultimate nincompo0O0op came from an opposite part of the Earth [I don't like swarming but your country is really all drunken in relation to youth] but I started making this map when I was around 13 so please check it up. I like keeping the secrets like these because it is the only way to be rated fairly of course. It still has some kind of bugs and I'm tired of making some huge HL2 maps. Garry's Mod is a really good thing. Lua scripting is awesome, while there is much of new ideas still to release.
i dont understand what you mean at all
well, it was a simple farewell just to feel satisfied that all the time I spent on making the maps/mods/scripts/etc. in Garry's Mod was more valuable than smoking or taking other shcitte...noone is supposed to understand me. lol. me psycho
you bumped a thread that was several months old just for that?
yes. (User was banned for this post ("Bump" - Terrenteller))
