Oi, I've gotten in a bit of a fix here-The parts for all the bits and items do not seem to be anywhere on the ship. Like where you activate the hanger spawners and such? I can't find them anywhere.

The custom ships are way too hard to get in. There should be no gravity when the airlock is closed in the secondary hangers. Like the landing bay
Also when your against some windows, you will take damage like you were outside
Also if you mean the escape pods heckler, "A" and "D" is to rotate clockwise/counterclockwise and "W" and "S" is to rotate up and down. They are supoose to be hard to control
For the miniship controls, they're W for up, S for down, A for left, and D for right. Rightclick accelerates, primary fire uses whatever function you have assigned to it.
Now, I'm a bit in the dark on a few things. First, the other things you can spawn besides the powercore; What use are they? The shield, the turret, and the oxygen thing... What are they supposed to be used for?
I'd guess that the shield is used for adding on to ships, but how are you supposed to accomplish that when it's near impossible to move in the miniship hangars?
Secondly, a lot of the ship equipment I can't really figure out. The guns all make sense... The shield generator, though? It only protects the front of your ship, when the only part of your ship that can be damaged is the [i]back[/i]. What am I missing there?
The sawblade... Is that supposed to be a weapon (like the guns), or does it have some other purpose to it?
And most of the secondary modules... What are they for?
The captain's chair on the bridge... It has a pod in it, but it doesn't do anything. Is it just there for decoration, or can you actually enter it and do stuff?
The asteroid... How do you get in, besides noclip?
The spawnable humming spinning little disk thing in the asteroid... What does it do?
And finally, why does noclip shut off every 5 seconds in Zero G? Especially in the hangars where it's impossible to move already, it's even harder since noclip doesn't seem to work...
And that's it. Sorry for the multitude of questions, but I can't seem to find any documentation for this anywhere. I skimmed over the rp_spaceship thread, but couldn't find very many answers, and I'd rather not dig through all sixty-something pages to have to find out...

I can answer the noclip problem.
The script that I made for the map checks if you are touching space or not, if you are you move into MOVETYPE_FLY otherwise you go into MOVETYPE_WALK.
This map is great. It's just so unfortunate about the lag :(
Ya, how do I get in the asteroid base, and the noclip thing is pissing me off, so when I am in space I just go sv_gravity 0 and when inside I do sv_gravity 800.
The secondary attachments are useful except the landing pad one, there is even a mini doom cannon attachment.
I can't find they place were you spawn the Power Cores and other stuff! Is it in the Miniship Hanger, or the big white main one? Since I've looked all around them and found nothing that could be used to make stuff.

I played this map for, I don't know, 20 seconds before my game crashed. But looks good from your shots. :D
I'm assumeing you used cut off points to ensure we don't have to process the WHOLE fucking ship all the time?
After a thurough playtest, I have only 2 complaints:
1) It's literally [I]hell[/I] to get into a spawned spaceship. Without noclip it's almost impossible to get in one.
2) The anti-noclip (or whatever it is) is annoying. There are a lot of times in the map that you really need noclip. You should somehow make it optional.
(There is also the lagg problem but that can't be fixed much, can it?)
There is also a weird bug that when you use the tractor beams (or whatever [I]those[/I] are) in conjunction with the missiles the missiles freeze in midair and stay there until the map is changed or they're manually removed using ent_fire.
Other than that it's near perfect. Very good job on it.

Hey people, one thing. The lag issues depend on your computer and the server you're playing on. Don't complain about lag because I just hosted a private server a few hours ago with 6 good rpers on my computer and I experienced no lag nor did my fellow rpers complain of any. So it is possible to be essentially lag free on this map. (I have a higher end computer just so you know. -dual core 2.7 opteron and an x1900xt ) I'm not trying to be a jerk and brag, I'm just saying that the map is well made, just has a lot of stuff.
I found that there's actually more lag when you play it in single player for some dumb reason.

excellent concept, poorly executed. Fix it and enjoy the adulatio nof millions. Heres why:
-the captains chari seems unusable
-the vents to the bridge (bypassing shield) are unreachable
-the main hangar is very counterintuitive and combined with the custom ship system this makes a horrible mess. Example: you have to haul your components from two completely opposite ends of the ship in order to build, and once you start buiilding, if you don't like your choice, you can't undo, you have to start all over again.
other than providing parts, the main hangar serves no purpose.
what I propose:
I understand the idea of having to work for your parts, but I think it would be wise to centralize the hangar.
Redo the main hangar and incorporate the custom ship modules into the sides, and remove the current door system. the custom ship launchers (with some added stability for board the craft) are all the doors you need, because they are the only ships that come from there. To get back on board simply use the airlocks, or, if you prefer those for escape pods and dead bodies, add a recovery hatch to the main hanger with a force field. This would eliminate the awkward custom ship laucnehrs from what is clearly a pleasure deck, and allow you to add more recreation facilities and at the same time you would be able to build ships with mcuh geater efficiency.
Also, the crane is a nice touch, but it seems to serve no functional purpose. same with the defense turret button on the bridge (where is said turret?)
one more thing. Having the jail next to the hangar and the reactor is not wise. Move it possibly?
overall, Incredible map, and with a few tweaks for convinience and accessability, it will be great.
YAY! I cracked the asteroid code but I am not telling any of you how I found it. But it is simple when you look at it my way.
It is a crime not to press the 5 button, This map is possibly my favorite rp :)
