The button for bulkhead doors is on the bridge, on the farthest left console, I believe. As for the lights, I think some rooms have light switches, at least the crew quarters do.
Where are the spawners? I cannot seem to find them.
Where are the spawners? I cannot seem to find them.
Right under the observation deck that you spawn in. The miniship hangars are on either side; just put a power core from the main hangar into a vertical cylinder outside the miniship hangar, and the spawner is unlocked.
Also, supposedly, you can easyweld the covers for the spawners to use them.
right-o, now to go find a power core...
Edit:
I'm in the main hangar, where are the power cores?

Hello? anyone?

Open the large door on one end of the bottom of the hangar, and throw 10 props in the reactor thingy.
This unlocks a panel on the other side, press the button on the far right.
What the hell is wrong with my map? as you can see, something is fucked up

You need the skybox textures, place the "skybox" folder in materials.
Yoou need the skybox textures, place the "skybox" folder in materials.
thanks, but why is the framerate 2 when i look in certain directions?
The low framerate is caused by a lack of the skybox textures, as well as the size/functionality of the map. Lazer did his best to reduce lag, and did a good job considering the presented issues, but there are still some really nasty spots.
Well, I jettisoned myself out through the airlock and it crashed me. :\
Also, after you spawn in the observation deck and go down, there are 2 "airlocks" but there is a cylinder with a little button on it, what does this do?
Also how does the main cannon homing beacon work?
Um, you said fireworks, right? With slower servers it would cause lag, and few people would be totally blowing the reactor off time to time, anyone know a way to stop it? (just my own opinion (oh my god how many times have I said that?))
There is a cylinder with a little button on it, what does this do?
That is where you insert the power core to unlock the spawner.
Anyone know a way to stop it?
You could probably lock the doors to the reactor. Other than that, I wouldn't know.

Here is how to properly create a ship using the lower 2 airlocks:
Step 1: Proceed to the hangar deck, bottom floor. Throw a load of crap into the furnace. When the furnace door closes, walk across to the other side of the hangar and spawn a power cylinder with the... fourth button, right?
Step 2: Carry the power cylinder, preferrably with the gravity gun, to the two airloacks, top floor.
Step 3: Place the power cell into the hollow cylinder. A forcefield should turn on, and the door covering the control console will open.
Step 4: When the red square turns blue, press it. The base for the ship will be spawned. When the red arrow turns blue, press it also.
Step 5: When the battery-shaped square turns blue, choose from the many buttons surrounding it for your ship's primary function (Primary functions can be used by pressing primary fire when inside the ship). There are several to choose from, including shields, a tractor beam, a mining saw, and many more.
Step 6: After choosing a primary function, use the next arrow, which also turns blue.
Step 7: The next battery-shaped square is for your ship's secondary function. Secondary functions can not be used by the pilot, but only by other people. Your secondary function choices can include a transport module for up to 6 people, a cannon (which, unfortuneately, is extremely hard to get into), and even a platform (Mount an oxygen module on it for people to use in space. Very useful for getting into the asteroid.)
Once your ship is complete, the power cell will dissappear, but the forcefield will be left in place. Should the ship be destroyed, the forcefield will go away, leaving the slot free for other people to use. The red Xs are for canceling construction of a certain module (not recommended).
EDIT:
DoomyDoom Cannon useage:
On the bridge, at the 4th floor I think, is a button to spawn the DoomyDoom cannon's homing beacon. The first button, on the left, makes the DoomyDoom cannon lock on and folow the beacon. Two red targeting lasers on either side of the barrel will follow the beacon, and the cannon will rotate.
The button on the right, surrounded with yellow and black caution lines, is the button to fire the cannon. The cannon will fire exactly at where beacon is, with a rather spectacular effect. Even if the beacon is inside the ship, the cannon will attempt to hit it. This can be dangerous. The beacon will be removed after the cannon is fired with it.
Where is the "skybox" folder? I can't find it in the .rar I downloaded! Help!
Where is the "skybox" folder? I can't find it in the .rar I downloaded! Help!
Redownload it. The skybox folder goes in the materials folder of yuor gmod 9 directory.
EDIT:
There is a seperate rar for the skybox folder. Make sure that is the one you download.
Ok. Thank you very much for the info.
This is so amazing.
Now to mess around for 3 hours.
I'm assumeing you used cut off points to ensure we don't have to process the WHOLE fucking ship all the time?
You messed up the perfect 5 rating :(
This map is the bomb!
Love it so much, but gmod messed up after i played 1.
I don't think it's because of the map though...
Also how do you open the escape pods?
...or spend the time actually figuring out the code :)
I don't see anywhere to put a code around that little power lever thingy?
This map is orgasmic, other then a few issues:
- The rockets on the spaceships NEVER stop firing and don't move.
- The map crashes with a vertex error outside.
- You can't walk inside the spaceship spawning airlock.
OH GOD NO! NOT THE DREADED VERTEX ERROR!!! oh god someone please TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS IT AND HOW I FIX IT?????
I don't see anywhere to put a code around that little power lever thingy?
The keypad is below the lever, near the bottom of the panel.
The vertex error happens when your computer can't handle the map, it can't be helped, I fear.
That is where you insert the power core to unlock the spawner.

Well where do you get the power core from?#
Oh wait is that the thing in the cargo bay?
Well where do you get the power core from?#

The thing originally in the main hangar is a camera broadcasting to the bridge. The power core is spawned from the fourth button on the panel that is unlocked by throwing 10 props into the reactor/furnace in the hangar.
By the way, in the dining(?) area, one button opens the window shields, what does the other do?
Yes i finally found out the code for the astroid, whats the circle thing that you can spawn in the top room in the astroid?
AH!!!
THE UNSPEAKABLE HAS HAPPENED!
Where must i put the Skybox?
And GREAT map Lazermaniac!!
Haven't a clue what the circle thing is, but it is quite heavy, the gravgun can't lift it, and it shakes the screen if you drop it. One use for it is feeding it to the hangar furnace.
