Great map, but the tunnels and bridges for trains need to be bigger, I can't really fit any trains I build through them.

Best freespace yet, very functional, very large, very pretty. Good work, will be my default construction map for many a build.
I do not see the functionality in this map.
You cannot build trains, the tunnel is too constricting and the turns are too sharp.
All of the land between everything is plain and flat. Add some more variance to it.
The lake is too small and does not go anywhere. The airstrip is nice, BUT, the hangars lighting is poor and it is too dark to build anything intricate in there.
The rooms under the city are too small, although a good idea.
The red building near the airstrip is a nice size but the door is too small. There is enough room on the inside to build a pretty large contraption, but it will never get out.
Also, it would be awesome if there was some underground. I was looking at those heli-pads and was thinking that they should lower down into an underground building complex. Of course it would need very good lighting and nice big build rooms.
Do not take all of this the wrong way, just personal opinions and hopefully helpful criticism.
Map looks pretty good. I guess Ill make it the main map for my server..?

It's a great map, but I've found one small fault with it
Whenever I try and build trains with phx sliders they always get stuck going over points. Using wheels isn't so much of a problem though.
That aside, it's a really nice map, well done :)

I don't really like it. For one, the lighting doesn't match the skybox at all.
Its a nice map with some good details but
the train tunnels are very low so its hard to fit stuff in
one of this aircraft hangers has a massive ceiling but jeep sized doors so anything you make can't get out
its so much smaller than freespace 9
is there a way i can install the fix to my server so the people that join wont see the pink and black?
like force them to download it?

- There's hardly any free space on this map.
- Why is it smaller than the previous map?
- The map is kinda dark compared to the skybox
- The ai can't even find a path up stairs. Is it really noded or just spam noded?
Its just very sad that nobody add doors to the houses on the map.
I mean, it could have been a great rp map. But when its no doors, its no rp..

You are an absolute joke. You have stolen the freespace maps, and made them into your own, quite sucky ones. As far as most of the community is concerned freespace06 is the last freespace map to have been made. I just can't believe people are falling for it and actually think freespace09 or freespace_revolution are the next frespace maps. The freespace maps were made by helio, period.
And now when helio is gone? What should we do? Just wait for him to come back? I think its good of people to improve maps like this..

Improved in what way exactly? Its smaller. most of the architecture is the same, or close to the same. the train turns are too sharp, most of my trains derail, and they work fine on other maps. when I finally get one to turn, it hits the low ceiling on the tunnel and derails. Its not optimized very well. stuff spawns in the ground. the hanger doors are too small, the lighting is sketchy, and to be perfectly honest, half the map looks like a retextured freespace_09 which was a retextured 06. So what improvements have been made?
Dont ask me, I just say its good if people acctually would improve maps like this.. Mark my words..
But still, the only improments that can be made of 06, is the HL2 episode2 textures and the fact that it doesnt excist any doors on the map, and there for its useless for roleplaying.

I think I'll decompile 06 and see if I can actually do it RIGHT this time. Does anyone have any objections to my doing that?

Good! well, this is the last time I whine about this in this topic, but please add doors to the map (for rp) and fix the HL2 episode 2 textures too usual HL2 textures. Thats probably all that need to be done, and maybe to make the skybox and grass a bit more cool than in the old 06..
