For example, I think Red Dead Redemption is much, much better than Grand Theft Auto 4. However, GTA4 is better than SA IMO. I hope you guys don't respond to this and start a discussion over the best GTA, sorry if I derailed.
Still waiting for news on the next San Andreas since they are skipping Vice City. San Andreas on the rage engine will own hard.

Really nice work, I wouldnt use such shitty textures though, they make it look worse than source. Is mapping with sketchup still; make a block, group it, make the next block?

And 100% agree with the gta 4. I just play it to remember stuff from when I was younger an played gta. Well lets stop discussing this this threads about gta 2 in gmod not what I like todo.

All textures are 256x256. That's not much but I'll add detail textures in the end. As can be seen I managed to bring some variation into it by using textures where I spread details (the windows) onto the base texture.

Sorry for this late reply, but I forgot to tell you that I get the Engine Hunk Overflow error with this map. It means there are too many lightmaps. Lower the size of the lightgrid won't help. To be able to play it anyway, [b]add "+r_hunkalloclightmaps 0" to the launch options[/b] of Gmod. But if you do so, some lightmaps of the sun won't be loaded (only ambient occlusion) and it looks like there's a storm coming: [URL=http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/2671/85170998.jpg][IMG]http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/2671/85170998.th.jpg[/IMG][/URL] Since there is no workaround that will not make the game crash, I guess this is once again the end of one of my projects. I'm not so familiar with lighting, but couldn't you just trade lighting quality for making the map work?
