Use BSPSource, it has recognition for them so I presume they are decompilable.

Ah, thanks. Anyway, did anyone try exporting a Google Sketchup model into .smd and then compiling it and using it in Hammer? Does it work and is it a pain in the ass to do, cause I want to try and export some stuff.
Alright, decompiled all of the maps, but Hammer Keeps crashing after i try to open them. Any suggestions?

It just crashes w/o giving any errors. I can upload the vmf if you want.
Unfortunately, Hammer itself does not have a log file. As for .vmf, I don't have Dear Esther myself, so I'm not sure if it would even work at all. Maybe someone else can try?

I opened the esther_d.vmf in Left 4 Dead 2 authoring tools and it DID load, no crash. There is, of course, a ton of ERROR and stuff cause I don't have Dear Esther but that one did load. Gonna try other 3 now.

They all load in L4D2 Hammer.
In that case the issue is linked to the version of engine im using. Ill try to get Ep2 asap to see if it will load.

Make it a func_brush and set it to start disabled. Then have an output to enable the func_brush.
