Alright, so I got Propper to finally work for me, and it's in the Episode 2 configuration for Source 2009. I want to put these models into Garry's Mod, which is configured in Source MP. I find the models in my ep2 folder and the materials of the props as well, then I copy/paste them into Garry's Mod's respective folders, but when I go to model browser and put them in the map, they only have the pink/black checkerbox texture error. Seeing this, I must have done this the wrong way. Anyone know how I would go about properly moving these props over to Garry's Mod?

Anyvhan know where I can find Gigantic rocks? like 1024^2in and larger? with collision? I need some big derp rocks in my map to liven it up.
No you'll have to use displacements.
Alright I have another problem, my static props seem to be falling through the ground or something, 'cause when I placed a desk touching the ground and then went and ran my map, the desk didn't appear... Anybody know what's going on?

Is there a way to change the alpha FX amount of a func_brush through triggers? I want to make a func_brush invisible with a trigger and I tried using the alpha output but nothing happens.

I think you probably have to use "Additive" as the render mode for the func_brush.
I still can't get counterstrike models to appear... I go to options and then game configurations, but where would I put the fgd? Does it go in Game Data files? I have no idea... And for the HL2:E2 content I can't find the models and materials folder, and where would I put this?

(hl2 ep2\ep2\)

Anyone know the causes of a "Could not locate "GameData" key" error? I know one time it was caused by having two doors parented to one another, but I got this error again and that's not the case. Anyone have any ideas? It's the only thing preventing me from finishing my map up, as I can't test it anymore until I fix this error.

I'm mapping for gmod, I want to use Half Life 2 Ep 2 models in my map... How would I do that?

I haven't tried loading this one up, but I'm using the same engine as the map that got the error previously, so I don't think it'll work if it hadn't in the past. Last time it was because I parented two doors to each other, but I haven't done that here, so I have no idea what else could have caused this error. Any ideas?

So now what should I do, because the models havent appeared in the world model browser.

Does anybody know how you could open a L4D2 Hammer .vmf in Half-Life 2: Episode 2? I would rather not try to redo all of my work and just be able to reuse something I made.

The mouse has a loading circle in the upper right hand corner so that could be indicating it is loading something... However I let it do that for about 3 hours and it still hasn't changed...
I can't get css models and textures into ep2 either. I extracted the materials and models and put them in the ep2 folder and they don't appear. I've done this before and it has always worked. I can get css content with the hl2 configuration but then I'm missing ep2 content which, I've tried adding. Why doesn't this work anymore??

Mapping for HL1 is such a bitch, can somebody give me a guide on how to find textures and make lights, stuff like that? It's all brush-based and I'm here like "holy fucktits"
I'm trying to figure out how to create maps for Garry's Mod. I was told I was supposed to use Source SDK, Engine Version: Source MP & Counter Strike: Source as the Current Game. Problem is I can't select CSS, no matter what. It keeps switching to Team Fortress 2 instead. I tried to look it up on Google, but all the answers are years-old, and none of them works. Any advice? - Thanks!

Any advice? - Thanks![/QUOTE] Much of this depends on what game content you want to use but you can use team fortress, hl2, ep1, ep2, portal and a few others to map for gmod.
