No clue. Your specs are better than mine.
My Pc power hate me. I tested hammer = Crash Udk = No crash WoW = Crash Bf3 = No Crash... lol Pc Power -> 400W noname

Yes I tried to lowering autosave, but, autosave crashing my computer.
Yes I tried to lowering autosave, but, autosave crashing my computer.
Ans i suppose you have all the drivers up to date. By crashing your pc, do you mean that the program hangs, or you have a complete lock up of the pc that requires a restart?
My mouse and my keyboard does not respond.
Im trying to fix some bugs on RP_EvoCity_v33x, but I Have no idea how to make it so I can see the Sickness Model pack, ext... I Need to see the Models and Textures for it. Can anyone give me some help? (Sorry if this sounds Dumb but Its something I havent used/done before)
My mouse and my keyboard does not respond.
And you able to press the num lock key and see the light flash on and off. This is sounding more like a pc issue, not a hammer issue. Hammer uses more ram than udk. Hammer is over half a gb, UDK is 400, wow is probably fairly beefy...cba ot log in atm. At a guess, maybe a ram issue, or a power issue (said because it sounds cheap...i don't trust cheap psu's)
Whats the vmt code that makes a second image show up when you get closer? And does that work on everything now or does it only work on TF2?

I need to change my pc power Thanks to helped me. :) edit: I try to make hammer for one CPU, and work. [Solved]

What the fuck is going on here? http://screencast.com/t/FM0gYThrG I have NO idea how to fix this, I've reinstalled several times and restarted my computer too. This makes it impossible to do anything, it'd be really appreciated for any help.
Looks like a graphics card issue to me. How 'bout them video drivers?
I'm gonna guess old video card drivers, or a really shit card, or a really fucked card.
I just updated, and everything else works fine. It's only hammer that's acting weird. I just checked temps, they're at 50C-70C. I have no idea why this is happening, it started today. Worked fine two days ago. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] Just played SWTOR and CSS right now, works perfectly. [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] Oh and one more thing, recording each viewport with fraps fixes it completely. It's really weird.
How do I make players move along with a func_physbox? I have a seesaw that's a func_physbox. It rotates around a phys_hinge properly. [thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/504639410774028966/DD46B3CFE910F3A743C3E6A139C048E915B8F221/[/thumb] But when a player is standing on top of it, the player does not move along with the wooden board as it rotates. In fact, the player stays in place, and the wooden board goes straight through the player (making him/her become stuck as a result). How do I stop this behavior and/or ensure that the player gets launched upward when that Thwomp falls onto the seesaw?

Use a trigger_push and activate it when the Thwomp falls onto the seesaw, otherwise you're just going to have the player slightly move if you can even fix the collision problem (which I doubt you can with TF2.)
I had a feeling it would come to that. My original attempt actually used a trigger_push parented to a func_door_rotating. But I wanted to try making it a real physics object to get some experience with it. Oh well. Guess I have no other choice then. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help!
Before you try that, have a go at adding a nodraw brush underneath the seesaw to make the physics thicker, maybe it's something to do with thickness which makes it break at a high velocity. Make it part of the physbox also, forgot that part. :P
And my hammer problem was fixed. No idea how or why. Not complaining though :v:
How would one take a picture of a map like this: http://www.steampowered.com/status/ep2/death_maps/ep2_outland_07_deaths.jpg
press I [editline]21st February 2012[/editline] http://pastebin.com/bqtBT318
Pasted in, same problem [editline]22nd February 2012[/editline] Deleted gameinfo.txt, validated files, reacquired the file, still same problem.
If i am putting a hint brush in a doorway which has a trim made into a func_detail, should I have the hint brush clip through the func_detail to where the actual world geometry starts?
I'm also having a problem with physboxes. I've got spawnable physboxes and are able to move them around, rotate and freeze them with the physgun but I can't use any tools on them. I've got smartsnap and when I aim at the physbox the grid appears, but clicking with any tool does nothing at all. I've tried adding the key "gmod_allowtools" with the value "*" but that hasn't made any difference.
Yes, func_detail is ignored by vvis.
thanks.
how do you make a prop not block line of sight? so an npc can see through them but the prop looks normal. [editline]20th February 2012[/editline] they walk around the wall to shoot each other
You can't do it with a prop unless one of the sides isn't textured, otherwise just make a func_detail brush and make the back the nodraw texture, which you should already be using anyway because it makes optimization ten times easier
