The people with wooden computers dont matter. I'd rather be able to see planets :p

You should add some neat easter-eggs for us science fiction watchers out there, like maybe a [URL="http://www.wallpapergate.com/data/media/2746/The_Flight_Of_The_Tardis.jpg"]certain blue police box[/URL] randomly moving around the map, teleporting and spinning through space, or maybe a cave on earth that goes down like the one on mars, but not as deep to end at a [URL="http://darkdiamond.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/gurren-lagann-01-large-19.jpg"]certain face pulsing green light[/URL], or maybe find a long-abandoned [URL="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/98/RedDwarfShipOriginal.jpg/250px-RedDwarfShipOriginal.jpg"]mining ship[/URL]. Actually, a ship wreck might be neat, with some awesome items in it, maybe a few dead bodies and weapons. Also, you should have that guy sitting near where you teleport in when you try to noclip say something. He looks like he has a story to tell.

ok mega idea here, but this map would be EPIC for a game mode, maybe mass effect gmod style? O.O

I run this map on my SB3 server. Does anyone else have any lag issues after about 20 minutes on this map? I'm trying to see if this is related to SB3 or one of my addons. My buddy said he saw some asteroids piling up at map pos 0,0,0. It was horrid lag, I mean you press W you moved forward a min later! lol. Does this lag on SB2? cause i might switch back to it. I also have a feature to suggest; Button to turn off the Auto-Teleporting when you reach the map wall. :)

This has to be one of the most spectacular maps I have played this year. This is something to really be proud of. Anyways, for those of you having problems with fog covering the planets, here is a temporary fix. -Go into options (Not in the escape menu. rather the 'Q' menu) -Go to "Fog" -"Fog Override" checked -Set the preset to "Radioactive man" -Set "Fog start" to 1, and "Fog End" to 0. The color doesn't matter. Hopefully the succeeds in fixing your problems, for the time being.

I did another test of the map last night, and was watching it with net_graph 3 on, after about 20 mins (server was locked, it was only me, I didn't spawn anything) the entity line of the graph slowly rose to the top of my screen : /. Once it reached the top of my screen, the lag was unbearable. I wonder if my server host cant handle the awesomeness of this map? lol. Or if i have an addon that is messing with it. addons(all up to date SVN's): Life Support 3 core/entities, CAF, Resource Distro 3, Spacebuild 3, Gas systems 2, Stargate, wiremod, wireextras.(i also tried it with spacebuild 2, same issues : /)
If you guys are having issues with SB running this map, there is always [url]http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1063437-Environments[/url] . It is able to handle the map and any other far better than spacebuild, with far less lag :D

i would like to say a few things 1. my pc sucks, its 5 years old and it has a pentium 4 and nivida geforce 5500fx (yes, its a 20 doller peice of junk). it does RUN source games with little lag, but in all options low and directx level 8, so i was suprised it ran this complex map well. since i my pc is horrible, i could try out your beta maps if you want to see how well you optimizations are (i can tell you, with what i saw, they are very good) 2 as for the range of seeing the planets, i found 2 simple solutions from other maps A. you can put a blue dot with the planets name that you can see from far B. you can make 2d pictures of the planets which you see from far. and when you get closer, it turns back into the 3d planet 3. you can make some options accsisible in notepad (out of game) like the gm_mobienex v3 map and about npc nodes, nodes really need to be in that zombie cavern (it was no fun when they just walked in circles, leting them shoot you) and you should add nodes to the atilion planet. you should also make zombies respawn (but not too quickly) in all, great map, but i hope these ideas will help you. as i said, i would beta test some maps if you want. good luck on v2

we ran into a problem playing this on our server with prop protection: Non-admins CANNOT pickup the artifacts. we had to resort to using adv ballsocketed crates and bathtubs to scoop the artifacts off the ground and that was really glitchy. One player made an expression2 gate using prop-core to move the object, but that was also glitchy. I've played maps where non admins could grab objects, like the gnome in the shack on another popular spacebuild map. Other than that, great map! The ending to the artifact game was scarey. Gave me a good chuckle. I agree with others about planet view distance. Would it be possible to make the planets visible while in space, but just not on the spawn planet? I still want to see out into space at night.
