Man, the wait is pure torture. I'll have to wait until wednesday, too. Stupid timezones. :P I'll see if I can post some new screenshots of Icarus base tomorrow.
I'm going to be sitting in school ignoring everything my teachers have to say, and be thinking about Season 2 constantly.
You could just simply buy the episodes off of iTunes. And if you don't live in the US, use this.

This is so sexy. What water texture are you using offworld? It's beautiful.

All you need to do is make a US account, which isn't too hard, just use this website.

Crap, I did too, I fixed it. Try this one...
Here are the new pics of Icarus base:
In my opinion, that metal texture makes the entire base look cartoony. I'd recommend finding a better one.
Looks good. season 2 kicked off pretty well in my opinion
Yeah, good start to season 2, although I'd really like to see some more Atlantis like stories. Not really season 4 or 5 type stories, but I think they nailed it in season 3. It would be cool if they found more Ancient tech floating around in space somewhere.. like seeded ahead of the ship. Anyway, none of that matters to the map. Can't wait to have a go at it!
That was a great season start :D Just looking forward to [sp]when they find the seedership :D:D:D [/sp]
Well, I enjoyed that, bring on episode 3!
Well, I enjoyed that, bring on episode 3!
Couldn't agree more :D
Well, I enjoyed that, bring on episode 3!
Do want, badly
In my opinion, that metal texture makes the entire base look cartoony. I'd recommend finding a better one.
Is it the color? Would it be enough if I desaturate the texture a little?
Looks good. season 2 kicked off pretty well in my opinion
Yep, just saw the episode. A lot of foreshadowing for the whole season. Although I don't like how they solved the [sp]"Chloe crisis" already within the first minutes. The source of her healing ability is obvious if you saw the trailer, but still...[/sp]
Is it the color? Would it be enough if I desaturate the texture a little?
Yes, it probably is the colour. I'm amazed at how much that trailer revealed. I mean, at the very end the Destiny exploded... blimey, it even gave us a peek at the seeder ship... which looks very similar to the Destiny, which I suppose was to be expected, really. http://img838.imageshack.us/f/destinyexplodes.png/ http://img213.imageshack.us/f/seeder.png/ Also, it's my personal belief that the Destiny is heading to the edge of the Universe... does anyone else think this?
... Also, it's my personal belief that the Destiny is heading to the edge of the Universe... does anyone else think this?
I was thinking about the universe's point of origin (or else, its own center point)

Wait, just conjecture at this point, but if the destiny drops off the edge of the universe, there is no subspace, Destiny's FTL drive should just cut out, the expansion of the universe will catch up with them, and they will be back within real space. [editline]10:13PM[/editline] Also, the episode "Faith" the stars gravity well destabilizes the FTL field, in SG-1 a stars gravity field overloads the Prometheus' Naquadriah reactor capacitor, so gravity does have an effect through subspace, more or less.

Something doesn't make sense here...
It overloaded the buffer which stabilised the highly unstable power output, and yes gravity will affect you through subspace in the SG universe, watch the SG-1 episodes regarding the prometheus, and how did the black hole affect the SGC? through a SUBSPACE wormhole?
I'm wondering why you all are discussing Star Gate, when this is he mapping section.
I'm wondering why you all are discussing Star Gate, when this is he mapping section.
Stargate thread
I propose we all gather in a more appropriate setting and enter into a heated discussion on the physics of Stargate.... maybe a night club or a pub.
maybe a night club or a pub.
Actually just forget about the stargate.
Nah, why would we want to do that?
