That map looks incredible, can't wait for a release. Looks sorta graphics intensive, though.
It overloaded the buffer which stabilised the highly unstable power output, and yes gravity will affect you through subspace in the SG universe, watch the SG-1 episodes regarding the prometheus, and how did the black hole affect the SGC? through a SUBSPACE wormhole?
it translated though subspace on the gate while it was open.. if subspace has a hole gravity can affect it but when in hyper space the only time a hole is created is when you enter and exit then it closes and your in subspace and nothing can affect subspace.... you can transmit though it etc... if that were the case every ship that entered subspace would have to drop out ever time they got close to a planet or dust feild or what ever in subspace you can travel though suns though planets etc and not be affected hence "more efficient" sg1 had a open worm hole with two ends sub space wasnt affected it was mearly a conduit for the black holes gravity to go though...
Ah, but what if you considered subspace as an extra axis on a 2D graph, instead of two discrete layers, normal space, and subspace, what if it was a continous variable, the deeper into subspace you go, the less real space affects you, if the FTL drive is a precursor the the Hyperspace engine, perhaps it does not move the ship far enough into subspace to isolate it fully, if you remember the Goa'uld Ha'tak's, in the first episodes, Hyperspace was shown as patchy wisps of blue with stars visible outside, as the Goa'uld upgraded their engines further into the series the blue wisps covered all of the Hyperspace conduit. perhaps these more efficient engines pushed the ship further into subspace where they could move faster. This is all conjecture, feel free to pick it apart.

Hey Tikay, have you considered uploading rp_destiny to Toybox? It has an updating feature that would allow you to simply add in updates etc. easily, as well as allow people to give better constructive critisism by playing the map (and having something other then screenshots to drool over...)
I was thinking about the universe's point of origin (or else, its own center point)
This. It makes more sense to me to explore the "older" regions of space, as these areas are more likely to feature life or more specifically: highly advanced civilisations. That might as well be utter bullshit, as I have no idea of astrophysics. :smug:
That map looks incredible, can't wait for a release. Toybox is awesome and it replaced a vague plan of releasing the map via SVN and updating it through it. But there are still areas I'm not content with, even though I lowered my expectations already. Patience. ;)
tipkay... if you use toybox does it download and stay on our hard drive? or will we have to go to toybox every time to play it? i never used it but once and the weapons i got i didnt keep it was only when i hit the button again.. to me this sucks because if the owner takes it down i cant use it again... id rather be able to download
Don't worry. The maps stay on the harddrive. They are downloaded to \garrysmod\addons\toybox\ and saved as plain files. You can then load them up as usual like any other map.

Hm.. When will we get a release? :D
Not before Monday
Yeah :D
Not before Monday
Nah, that date is reserved by Avon. Not before Tuesday. Since that's also the new air date of SGU, it's kinda fitting.
So this Tuesday?
So this Tuesday?
:crying:
So this Tuesday?
:byodood: No.
I'm just looking forward to a realease :D And the [sp]seeder ship[/sp] episode of SGU :D
Hurf, episode 2 of series two, I know almost nothing about. :S
:byodood: No.
:byodood: Sorry.
Hurf, episode 2 of series two, I know almost nothing about. :S
Well, to the sounds of it, and my speculation, it will be alot like the episode Divided, with the Lucian Alliance either joining or fighting against the Tau'ri. The episode name, Aftermath, kind of gives you a hint that it will be the aftermath of the incursion. I just read a bit more about episode two on Gateworld. It seems alot more interesting now...
download?
If there was a download, this thread would be in the Release section. :regd09:
I'm patient but you sad that the map will be released in the beginning at the second season.I don't hurry but you sad so.

Thank you for your answer.
yes there will be a link [editline]01:59PM[/editline] I decided to make a gamemode for this map when it's released
That's just epic man :D
