The idea is simple, the implementation... is not. It means completely rewriting aVoN's base code to handle 9 symbols for addresses. Which could potentially fuck up every other Stargate based addon

Its odd, even though its nice and clean (new) it still has a very old and retro look to it.
tikay, can you give me a list of what worlds there are in this map? I'm starting on a gamemode, so I need to know what resources I can get from which planet.
Ugh, that would require me to finally decide which planets will stay in the end. ^^
So, along with some suggestions:
Destiny - spare parts? hanging from walls, lying in corners. but my destiny is probably not big enough for that :P
Icarus Base - can't think of anything
Ice planet - obviously water
Desert planet - lime, calcium carbonate or whatever they put into the CO2 scrubbers
Forest planet - food (and water)
Barren/wasteland planet (from episode Intervention) - metal ore ---> spare parts?
Temple planet - see icarus :P

It's not set in stone, just estimated: 10%-90%; depends on what you expect :P
Going by my own wish-list for V1: 80%
Too bad this doesn't tell you when to expect the release. Avons percentages are frozen for what, two years? :fuckyou:

For exactly that reason I told another guy, who is working on a destiny map too, just a few hours ago to NOT STOP working on it. (<----grammar is not a strength right now)
I might be hit by a bus, trip down a staircase or get bitten by a rabid dog any day. God, that would make a lot of wasted time.

It would also suck that your dead, but when you look at it like that, yes, you would have wasted alot of your time...
Also, the guy that was making the Tornado map did not drop off the face of the earth, just pretty much stopped work on it for some reason...
With a little bit of LUA, could you detect when the destiny stargate is being dialed by another gate, and drop the ship out of FTL?

That would be cool! As well as Stargate restrictions, such as you can only gate-hop and not dial any gate to another gate. And Destiny only being able to dial the planet it's in range of. But that's probably already been discussed.
You guys are asking for a bit too much from a uncompleted map. Why not finish the map first, and THEN talk about all the possibilities...?

I scrapped (or at least postponed) the LUA ideas. Seeing as I don't know jack shit about LUA and still have more serious stuff to do... Would be cool nevertheless.

I think it gives a more realistic feel to it. Ambient sound is only bad when used incorrectly.

Agreed. A Destiny map without the ship's deep, bassy ambience would just feel wrong.
