I do believe tikay said that the FTL [i]'wave'[/i] effect infront of the ship (as seen in the Observation Deck video) is a particle effect. What other particle effects could you need...?

Sorry for the late reply, but this sounds horrible, it really does. There is nothing worse then restricting gate access just because of a single gate type. Yes, we could change the dialing times and all, but making a player unable to dial a certain gate is just a little overkill.

i have a deep engine sound for the map once tipkay asks for it... and the destiny one but i will have to work on that.. dont worry.. i also have ftl drop in and out from the inside and outside... doors consoles etc with more sounds comeing from the new episodes it will be covered..
btw im part of the cap team... so all the stuff will be high quality

As Lord Hayden mentioned, the whole FTL effect is one particle system. And there is another area where I'm not yet sure if I should use a custom particle effect for dust coming from the ceiling.

I've started watching SG-1 from the start again and then I'll watch Atlantis concurrently at the appropriate time.
Heh, I just remembered the feeling of SG-1 being over after season 8 and assuming it was just over and then ages later my friend happening to mention this "Stargate: Atlantis" thing that was going to be on and then also hearing about SG-1 season 9. Didn't feel that way about SGU. Not the same excitement.
