Q: Will we be able to walk on the outside of Destiny? A: No. Although, if resources don't run low, I might add a damaged shield-protected corridor or the dome room. Q: Can we visit other planets with the stargate? A: Of course, but they will be quite simple and have a night setting or very simple sky, since I need a space/star skybox for the destiny. Q: Will the Icarus base be included? A: Partially, at least the gate- and control room. Q: Your textures look like shit. Will it stay this way? A: Probably not, textures are just not a priority for now. By creating the map tikay has gained valuable mapping knowledge and skills that could help improve his future maps. Also, I think you need to come to the realiseation that with the Stargate franchise just about dead, so is all of the addons, maps, etc. as well.
It's fun watching you guys argue about what I want to, could, should or would do. oO Also, while working on some corridors with everything but Destiny hid in Hammer, I hit MAX_MAP_BRUSHES. Destiny alone, even without the infirmary and mess hall, fills the brush limit to 84.3%. I somehow got carried away. :/ That sucks... More work for Propper.
Will he be smoke on the river ones? There is smoke in the series on the river ones. On the one hand the existence lifesupportsystem, smoke comes from the floor sometimes on the other hand. the destiny back up how his numerator will work? FTL: on/off option... maybe?

Could you make the drop-in/drop-out animation faster? It seems a bit slow in that video. Other than that I would say it's really worth the wait.
Theres a note about the slowness in the video description. :/ The effect is done completely in the particle editor. Although the speed can be adjusted, I couldn't find a way to let it start fast, then it slow down. I'll have to try something... Does anyone know an episode where the FTL jump is seen from the observation deck? I'm currently not in the mood for looking through 30 episodes... :/

I now just increased the speed of the particles so they appear and disappear faster. Still not perfect, but better than nothing.

I've placed different soundscapes all over the map. Singing birds on Eden, harsh winds on Hoth, alarm and muffled impact sounds on Icarus Base, humming on Destiny, and so on. I'll see if I get around to updating the overview. As for the steam coming from the ceilings: maybe some, but probably not in large numbers. The needed entity (env_steam) counts towards the aforementioned edict limit.

Which country are you from if i may ask? About the ftl sound... i think the one from the megavideo link a page back could be used, if there're any plans to integrate that... has less disturbance/background-noise than other ftl scenes of sgu... would still need some editing to cut out the step-noise

This map looks just awesome, tikay! I hope you won't do too much, and maybe consider removing some planets to get more destiny stuff in there. Anyway, good work!
