Me hunting you down and t-bagging you while you sleep, then when you wake up with my balls in your mouth as you slowly choke I shall utter the words "Not before Monday"...
TROLOLO Quote of the day! The best was the "not before monday" of course..
Me hunting you down and t-bagging you while you sleep, then when you wake up with my balls in your mouth as you slowly choke I shall utter the words "Not before Monday"...
it will be on theme if I asked about release date, but it's not

PS: gmod offers quite a lot of possibilities to build bases and stuff ourselfs, to bridge the waiting period
understood...
I'm hoping that this map won't die
It probably wont.
oh it wont check cap forum for related updates.
Is there something I should know? :pwn:
Are you going to make a gatespawner for it when it comes out (p.s. if any one know how to add gatespawner's please pm me).
Is there something I should know? :pwn:
Hmm seems i posted this in the wrong thread
Are you going to make a gatespawner for it when it comes out (p.s. if any one know how to add gatespawner's please pm me).
Yes. If you want to make your own: place gates, dhds, rings, etc. in a map and then type "stargate_creategatespawner_file" in the console. This generates a mapname.txt in \garrysmod\data\ directory. Rename it to mapname.ini and you have your gatespawner file.
If you are not busy ,not working on the map and have time could you make a short video 1-2 mins on destiny?
No.
I'm so royally pissed of right now. Some of you stalking me on Steam might have noticed that I was working in the Source SDK/on the map again. Today my external HDD said FUCK YOU and refuses to work ever since. The map itself is safe on my internal HDDs, but several GBs of reference images and all the episodes are gone for good. Not to mention the other things: 10 years of music, my itunes purchases, personal stuff, etc. The REALLY bitter part of the story? Just two hours before the catastrophe, I ordered a new 2 TB Raid 1 storage solution.... You know? "Just in case the merely 18 months old HDD might fail me in the foreseeable future." THIS SUCKS
That sucks man :/ I wish you the best.
you got to be kidding, it sucks oh well I think all should be fine, good luck
You got really bad luck :( I would also be pissed, if I would lost my photos and music. I've got 5yo pc and everything is still working fine...
Thankfully I sync all of my important stuff with my home web/gameserver.
tikay - i sent you a pm about how to fix your external HDD, i hope it works with your case... Good luck!
In sweden we have these companies that open the HDD and copy the files manually to another disk. Try to find one, tikay! The only con is that they cost a lot. But it's worth it in your case I think.
Yea, they are popular, but damn expensive.
But you can find a program eg. HDD regenerator, whitch in 60% of damaged HDDs cases it's works. It costs aproximately 60$, you can find one for BitTorrent whitch is cracked. So 0$ to fix a HDD :). But dije's ideea is good too. Good luck again tikay!
Nope. It's no simple thing like bad sectors. The HDD doesn't even start. It's simply dead. Either the electronic circuit or the spindle motor are broken. Of course I already searched for recovery specialists and called one of the cheapest I could find. A technician told me that in the simplest case (dead electronics), they start at 200€. Broken mechanical parts, like spindle, actuator, read/write-head, etc. need a clean room and more work, resulting in up to 800€. This doesn't even include data recovery in case the filesystem got somehow corrupted. It's sad, but I'm not willing to spend that much money for it. I'll just store the drive away and hope the services get cheaper in the next few years. Also, I found an old backup of my music from 2009 on another drive. So not all is lost...
My suggestion is to try to buy same HDD (or atleast same brand - should have same pinout). Then simply swap electronic. It can help, it can broke electronic. But maybe worth of try.
My suggestion is to try to buy same HDD (or atleast same brand - should have same pinout). Then simply swap electronic. It can help, it can broke electronic. But maybe worth of try.
That works with older devices, but nowadays the chances are extremely low without tampering with the on-chip software.
The drive itself might still be intact, just the enclosure eletronics saying fuck you In alot of external drives you can take the drive inside it out and use it like a internal HDD
Yeah, I was talking about the electronics on the underside of the HDD itself, not the parts belonging to the external case.
had this same problem, but it can be salvaged! take the disk out and mount it into a old computer, copy and done! or attach a new cable to it incase the power supply from the cable was at fault (it happens)
How often do I have to repeat it? THE HDD ITSELF IS DEAD, NOT THE EXTERNAL CASE.
