If you are talking about economy. Do you have somes ideas for a great economy on a rp server ? :)
I have some strong ideas for what's wrong with the current economic model most servers use, and I do have some ideas of my own that could reward actual RP. BUUUT I haven't thought too deeply about them to definitively say 'X idea would be the salvation of Gmod's RP community'. It would be something I would be perfectly fine having a whole discussion about but I don't think that should happen here. The main problem I feel is prevalent in most RP servers is that players generate too much money too easily, and that very little of that money actually goes towards making a system function in the server as a whole. This I feel is due to how easily exploited jobs are and how much emphasis overall goes into straight up base building, hoarding, and combat rather than actual meaningful interactions among players. A quickfire example would be to look at the "economy" in space station 13. Players in that game cooperate with one another to achieve certain goals and to experiment. While things tend to get batshit crazy towards the end of a session, and some power-gaming is prevalent, the whole station functions like an ecosystem. None of that really happens in Gmod RP servers because the rules of the economy and of jobs themselves are borderline nonexistent since they have no real responsibility. When is the last time you saw the mayor acting like a mayor, and not simply like a Mob Boss with a predefined army. Similarly roles like Doctor or Weapons dealer have waay too much power and carry too much appeal over other jobs. Just like being a thief is essentially getting a license to break into every house you can and steal things. I guess what I'm saying is that antagonistic roles should be something 'normal people and jobs' should be actively working against/routing out rather than something to join because you can get a gun really easily and are free to shoot whoever you want. The you aren't playing RP. You're essentially playing Team Deathmatch with slightly altered rules of engagement.
That's what the impatient kids of gmod like to play nowadays though. I think an inventory system would be great, as well as dropping weapons on death. This would create much more meaning to buying things as you can store them in your inventory.

You stored things in your pocket but they just poofed into the void when you died.
Thanks guys ! I appreciate your comments. My own server will be how you said Framperton. No ViP, no shitty things like shop....
You can do what we did for EC2. Stagger the map like its going through a canyon. Problem is, this also causes the engine to bug out with displacements. In fact, it was a displacement casting a shadow on another displacement that was a layer higher, boom everyone crashes. One of our unreleased RC's was so large it took about 3-5minutes to get to the otherside of the map trying to stay above 100mph. had this exact bug, we had to strip it out. damn shame. it was neat trying to get to the small town and it was a roadtrip lol
... Can you post a download link anyway? I'm interested in just what this would be like...
