Cool Now going to make some textures.
And also, I just get the wonderful pink and black checkers for all of the custom textures.
Hi, as I promised, I think we can successfully move the project to BTSync. http://labs.bittorrent.com/experiments/sync.html The reason for even attempting this is that BTSync is both more secure and has unlimited file space for free. Sounds like a step forward in my opinion, as we will now be able to incorporate models and other materials besides just textures. Progress update soon, I still need to test it out with you guys to see if you can successfully incorporate it as well.
It might seem to have a lot of awesome benefits, but it's too good to be true. BitTorrent Sync is p2p. It requires contributors to be online to share their content and it is pulled directly from them. You have to have the space, bandwith, and availability to share your content with everyone. There is an increase of the CPU/Memory demand depending on your contributions as well so that'll will stunt some people from joining in. Unless someone wants to host all the files and have them available to download 24/7 it won't be as lucrative as Dropbox, Box, Drive(?). You can toss files in and don't have to worry about the strain of uploading/downloading after they're placed onto dedicated servers.

If you really really have a bad connection, you can always submit your stuff through the people who have an account. I will be making available a version offline every so often so that you can still access the file without syncing. Also, you can shut off BT Sync at any time and only sync every so often. Honestly I don't think it's a very problem: for those of us with more lucrative internet connections, we can still leave it on 24/7. There will almost definitely be one connection that will work. As for the CPU usage, my BT Sync memory is currently around a fourth of Dropbox's, even though they have the same number of files. And like I said before, you can shut off BT Sync at any time and sync later if you have to. By the way: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1272621 It's up. Just seeing how it works, if it doesn't we'll move back to Dropbox.
