Game design just doesn't feel like such a good decision in my opinion. First, you have to bust you ass through 4 years of school. Next, you either land a job at a place like A) Valve - you get paid to do nothing (boring) or B) EA/DICE - where the whole community shits on you and your team for fucking up a game that wasn't your fault (stressful) Either way, I'm going for a degree like broadcast; because I know that my individual work can get me recognized; and it feels more worth my time than being in a blob studio with other unrecognized people.
I studied game design in High School for 3 years here in Sweden. There are A LOT of schools (universitys, colleges, high schools etc. etc.) here for that kind of shit, if you're willing to move.
been looking around for 3d modelling / character sculpting universities and surprisingly couldn't find any. The only ones i stumbled upon were schools that you can get after you graduate from universities, which is not what im looking for. If anyone has any universities /colleges in mind, your post can make a big difference!!
Well it's not a "degree" per say (primarily because you are going to have a really hard time finding a game design degree) but my degree plan at my university will also certify me as a game developer by the time I'm graduated. I'm majoring in Computer Science which is the degree plan it's tied into. If you want details pm me.
