Lies and slander. Although on that note, I would post more if other people posted more, but oh well. Dlaor has mostly finished the models and animations for the new drop pods (which look very shiney by the way), but he's just having a bit of trouble with the collision model. Once he gets that fixed though, they should be ready to go into b5-1 along with the first test of the bunker pods. He's also made me a set of cargo crates. They come in several different sizes, and have about 10 different skins, so I won't have to use EXACTLY the same crates in every map. Three of the skins are specifically for PFv2, and have the official logo stamped on them as well, just to make them fit in a little better with the ship.
I've also finished a couple of new betas of Puzzler part 2, each one tested by myself, Lel and Calvin since Kaffo is still on holiday and can't play *glares*. Up to the end of hub 4 is now available, though several parts still need tweaking. That means pretty much just 1 more hub to go for this part. Once that's done I will also make a 'lobby' style map if I can get the things working correctly. NO, I DO NOT MEAN A LOBBY MAP LIKE GMOD TOWER. Well okay, it's kinda similar. Just a smallish map which will look very pretty, allow you to walk through archways to load any of the puzzler parts and, of course, be full of traps and secrets.
As a final note, while PFv2 is 'pending models', I started wanting to map PF, but not being able to. Mapping puzzler really isn't the same, so I've started a new side project. Well, it's a side project for now, but once I finish up PFv2, then it will be my main project. I won't say too much for now, but I plan for it to be a cross between all the best aspects of Cerberus, Puzzler and Planetfall.
Cerbuzzfall? Would that be a name for this fabulous mystery map?

I was one of the people who somehow talked you into realizing people liked you map still in the old threads. Im the one who waited almost a full year to get posting permission to say I loved your maps, just to find that you hadn't done anything with it for almost a year. Did I care, no! I wanted you to continue, and looky here! You are so much farther along, i wouldn't have believed it!
The name of the new map is Discovery, and other than that I'm not going to say anything about it. Currently there are only 5 people (including myself) who have actually seen the map or know anything about what it is, so if word gets out, I know who to blame :P
Also, rookie, the thing is that I keep on thinking 'hmm, I should post about this on the thread', but then I go to post and see that I'm the last person to have posted already, and that was from days ago. It just feels wierd to post over myself.
Hence, you may have noticed my compleatly random post then Shadow saying something :P

Unfortunately, the server crashed about 5 days ago, and the remote resetter failed at the same time. Kraven hasn't been on since a day before then, so unless he happens to come on early tomorrow morning, or if we can get another server very quickly, the event will be postponed.

And if they get hit by debris, does it kill them or just heavily injure them and send them flying? Either would be awesome. And if the fighters get hit with debris what happens?
People get hit, they take collision damage, which should be pretty high depending on how large and fast the object is going.
Fighters get hit, they should be damaged, which would require a system for such a thing, and we must remember that this is gmod, people will want to build their own fighters, so a system for damaged fighters may require use of an existing damage system like Gcombat.

I really doubt that I would ever make a map like that. It's just not the sort of thing that garrys mod is good at. Now if it was a game like X2/X3, then i would most certainly make a map like that, but for gmod? No.
Also, on the Steam group I will be setting the event back each day at about 8pm BST until Kraven comes back and gets the server up.

Well the server has all the maps on it, it's reliable (when it ISN'T full of crap which Shadow and myself removed after the last crash), we have control admin wise, people remeber it/can find it, it's got the gamemode and such on it and it's hosted on Kraven's EPIC server that eats babies as fuel :D
In other words, no. He is the only one who has direct remote desktop control access thingy. His original resetter always worked, but then the PHP got updated and broke it all, so he had to make a new one based on telnet, which fails.

Sorry guys, but Kraven still hasn't been on (in over 6 days). I've also been trying the resetter every day or 2, but that's still not working either :(

Together with me, it would create a huge depression.
Apparently I beat Kaffo here, so I will say it. A couple of hours ago, Kraven came online. He spoke to Kaffo, but Kaffo was AFK. By the time he got back, Kraven was already gone (he hadn't spoken to me at all so I didn't even know he was there until Kaffo said afterwards). Apparently, for one reason or another, Kraven is currently on a dial up connection. I don't know why or for how long, but that's why he hasn't been online, and probably won't be much unless/until he gets a broadband connection again.
So really, we still don't have a clue when anything is going to happen, but at least we know why he hasn't been around now.
Ah but you see, thanks to MSN's power of offline messages I got some information!
As it turns out APPARENTLY both the server fixer and the server are both fine and have been restarted a few times over the last few days because Kraven has been working on them, basically what that means is its OUR fault that the server is broken :P So now either Shadow or myself have to shift though the shit on the server and find out what the fuck is wrong with it then get it opperational again!
Tonight Shadow is at a party, so he won't be much help, so I'll start looking though the crap now and then in the morning we can both work together to find the problem, exterminate it and get the event up and running!
