Yay. Max out the engine and creat an amazing map at the same time. This is great already and can't wait to see the end result.

While I was updating the 'Shadows Betas' SVN with a boat load of new textures and models, I noticed that one of the Planetfallv2 models had no hitbox. It was a set of stairs, though I'm not entirely certain where I actually used it. Wherever it was though, the stairs now have a hitbox and can be walked up rather than fallen through.
Would be some nice trap stairs.
Deck 3 plan is finished. Deck 2, and especially deck 1 have very little on them, so they won't take much time once I get round to them. And once both of them are done, I will be able to see where I have room to put in maintenance tunnels etc. Plus they will be handy once Kaffo gets the Derma done *glares*. Various things were added, including new spawn points, a random bit of structure on the outer hull (will be modified), the forest is considerably larger and more detailed, the landscaping next to the forest is smoother, the ground base LQ have been moved and a new building added. At the moment it's empty, but it will be the power generator for the base. Several new textures and models were used, and they're all in the SVN.
You know, if I posted more I'd be on my way to being Gold.... Point being, you guys have to try this version, tis epic :biggrin:
Quick progress update - A couple of missing models/textures have been added to the SVN, and the next map update will be joining them shortly. This will include the main power generator in the ground base, tweaks to the interior and exterior structure of PF, and some of the long-awaited maintenance tunnels. [B]Edit:[/B] The map has now been updated. The ground base generator should be obvious, currently the only entrance to the maintenance tunnels is on the bottom deck of the civilian sector (directly below the living quarters). Oh, and for those who are interested in my vague and completely made up predictions, I updated the completion %'s on the first post.

Cubemaps need to be rebuild.
Blame Shadow, he forgot to do it before he updated the SVN.
I didn't FORGET to do it, doing it when the lights aren't compiled sometimes results in the map breaking. You can fix it yourself by going into the console and typing 'buildcubemaps'. This will reset the map, and afterwards you wont be able to join servers running the original version without cube maps, but it will fix the reflections. Whenever I compile with lights, I will build the cube maps myself before putting it on the SVN.
Another map update added to the SVN. The left hanger pod has a new floor, as well as a ladder + walkway. On this walkway are hatches connecting to the two existing maintenance areas (behind the bridge and near engineering).
3 Posts from me in a row... you guys are real talkative aren't you? Not many changes to PFv2 this time, but I have epic news! Kraven has given us a server again! That is as in a 24/7 dedicated Planetfall server which I have full FTP access to. I'm still in the process of uploading the content, but within a day, MAYBE 2, it should be running the latest version of PFv2 compiled with lights & cubemaps. Whenever I'm online, just let me know and I will be able to change the map to any of mine from the 2 SVNs. I may put some of the older maps on there at some point, like cerberus v1-1 or PFv1, but for now it will just be the SVN stuff. I will post the IP here as soon as it's up and running.

The server is now set up with both SVNs, along with several common addons. Nothing big (such as wire, SBEP or Stargate) yet, since Kraven will have to download them straight to the server rather than me uploading them. Also, I tried joining earlier and had several difficulties. We believe they have now been fixed by updating the server, but haven't had a chance to test it and it's getting late. It's currently set to run rp_planetfall_v2-b5-2, and doesn't have a password so feel free to join any time you want. Sometime very soon I intend to make an event to celebrate the awesomeness of the server, but I have rather a lot of work to do since it's nearly the end of term. Soon though - hopefully in the next week or 2. Server IP: 78.143.252.51

I'm really not to loyal a fan anymore, sorry. I'm going to check out the latest version, then edit the post with feedback, so don't yell at me right now or for whatever I post. EDIT: Yeah, I seem to be missing a few textures(the shields) and it lags quite a bit. That could be due to my outdated hardware, but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyways, just a little teaser for the next version: B6 will include another long-awaited feature. A 3D skybox! Most of the landscape has been smoothed out/prettified by now, and I went round the edges one more time before I started work on the skybox, so it's highly unlikely to change again. It's fairly slow going, escpecially with the amount of uni work I have to do, but it should be done reasonably soon.
Ah. That would explain the missing shield textures. I have HL2:DM installed on this comp, but don't even own a copy of the original HL2...

Uhm. I've only played a demo of Dawn of War 1, so thats not possible.
Let's be fair, he probably means me, though he should probably be more specific. It's possible. I remember there was someone who said on steam a while ago that they had played DOW2 with me, but I can't remember who and I'm very confused about the whole thing tbh.
