Hey, would you guys be interested in a quality controlled Source map site? - Developers

Make a report tag system. If it gets a certain percent of it's downloads/ratings in reports then it gets sent for review and the tags can be changed permanently for 2 weeks by the admin reviewing the tags, just so they aren't using 500 tags.

Could you possibly allow comments on the maps?

I tag them myself and write my own bits about the map so they won't be abused. Nothing shows up on the site without me (or any staff member in the future) putting it up on dotBSP manually. I was thinking about making a drop-down menu specifically for gamemodes, but holy hell dynamic dropdown menus are annoying, and you're totally able to add the gamemode into your search by text - i.e. "bomb", "bomb/defuse" and "defuse" will bring up bomb/defuse maps. I might code a dropdown menu later, but as for right now I don't really think it's needed or care. In other news, you can totally search by game and map-size now. Tonight I'm going to be looking at some more maps that pop up in my e-mail, so be sure to to send in some of your maps! I'm definitely going to be looking at Black Gold and that Metro 2033 (rp_statasynasysina or something) map tonight.

Comments/ratings on maps would be great. I would like to read comments about the map letting me know if it is worth the download or if there are any problems with it.

Gamebanana has been terrible since it was FPSBanana. Back them at least critic ratings gave an idea how good a map was. Now its just a mess of 10/10s

Searching works pretty good - to find blackgold, you could type in defuse, select Medium, or select Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Or do all of those. Or don't and go to the Maps link on the navigation bar up top. Or don't and go to the front page. The about page is up. The slideshow shows images that are linked to the articles. No more stolen images. ;D

What are your policies on map types that you've already got a lot of submissions for, for example if you receive a decent Construct map would you turn it down because you already have enough of them or would you let it on? Also once the map gets bigger will you be hiring moderators? Like people who run the map and check for things like Full Bright and other things that would be a definete kill for a map, before they send them on to you
