I cannot guarantee the lighting will transfer over to the HL2 branch of Source. I'll give it a whirl, but don't bet on it.

Depending on the map, I had few to no problems at all with the lighting when I converted the maps from CSGO, so I think it should be fine.

The majority of this map uses model prop lighting so that will be a big issue when I'm porting it.
de_crossfire seems to be a nice candidate to porting too...
Its a pretty map.

Nice.
How about an gmod port too?
the lighting will probably be destroyed in the port to GMod, but if he wants to give it a whirl, then do so.
Also, investment releases tomorrow. I have fixed it up as good as I can without running into issues.

There is a trouble with "keyframe_rope" and some other entities on GMod Engine. Today I'll release 3 new maps from CS:GO and then I'll try to port them for GMod.
Fixed up a few maps for release.
scifi_apt and scifi_sky
Both of these are ported Gmod maps with HDR. Useful for a scene involving a futuristic hotel room.

And as a bonus, I made a quick map out of the 3d skybox to make for a nifty futuristic city skyline scenebuild. It is included in the download.

All assets are packed into the BSP's.

de_investment
The long-awaited and delayed port is now released. I had to change a few details to meet SFM's t-junction limit in Hammer, but nothing major has been changed.
As requested, a port to Garry's Mod will be looked into, however I had to sort out the issues with the SFM version first.
As usual, all assets are packed into the BSP.

Enjoy!

Just wondering do you want to port the main map of the stanley parable to gmod?
I woud love to have that map in gmod
Excuse my ignorance, but how exactly is it possible to gain the materials for Dear Esther?
Files aren't obviously Source compatible, all I have to do to get the materials and models is buy the game and that's it?
Buy and mount the game.
I have the game, should i copy the whole games directory into sourcefilmmaker folder?
EDIT: Fixed
Wonder if any of you guys would consider this. There's this map from the L4D1/2 campaign One 4 Nine I asked about porting ages ago of the tomb that's the level's big finale area. Pretty sweet stuff, particularly if you're a 2001 fan.

I can look into it, but like always, no promises.
I wish that someone could do something with the Dear Esther maps and make a port for Gmod, i searched everywhere and i didn't found anything...
~working on it~
Well, not just D.E maps, i'd like to see Insurgency (2014) maps for Gmod, i'm currently working on Siege to see what comes up
I posted this in the SFM Resources Megathread on the SFM board but I figured it'd be okay to update this thread with something I did recently; the houses from Aurora Estates, a Contagion map, that I've cleaned up and ported into SFM. They should be ready to download sometime in the coming week.

I should really get the Dear Esther maps working. Might have to edit a few vmts. (I'll require you to have the game and mount the content to use it, since the maps are pretty much what make Dear Esther.) Also I'll lower lightmap scale since you'd only really be using for posing.

http://imgur.com/a/nglFg
Awesome! A while back I started twiddling around with de-apocalypse-ing Barlowe Square a bit (mostly just deleting car pile-ups, temporary fencing, checkpoints etc.)... sadly I also had to disable most of the cubemaps because there were too many for SFM's liking. Maybe I'll get around to finishing it at some point. It's a very big map.
