Hi there,
I think this sounds like a great project. I've never worked on any group projects for garrys mod but I'd really like to be able to help :) I can't do Lua (yet), can't model, make textures, map or anything like that. I have played around with Blender but with no real goal so it didn't really work. If theres anything I can do to help, I will.
PS. can anyone give links to any good tutorials for any of the above things I can't do :) Thanks.

I make the assumption that experience is required for skill. If, however, you prove that you are competent regardless, then there is no problem.

Could you, or anyone, give me some advice so that i can get some experience? Even if I can't help on this project for a few months while I practice, I'd still like to be able to help eventually. Of course, but that is actually the second to last land we are doing. (According to our present plans) Tomorrowland will probably be the easiest part to make. Also, we want to take into consideration the recent refurbishment of the ride.

Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy Maya when all I'm planning to do is to pursue this as a hobby at most. Hopefully Blender can get the job done though :)

Blender in the hands of a master will create a work of art, In the hands of a non creative mind it is a piece of junk.. If you know what you are doing, You can compare it to Maya and 3dsmax.
