It rolls out of the tunnels (like the London Undeground, as I've seen from pics. Never visited London (fuck you Londoners saying I suck :argh:)) and will be outside for a bit, with the hills on the side.

Great map. Looking forward to downloading it. Quick question, on your rig, about how many fps do you get on the high res and low res respectively? My GPU is shit, and I wanna see how many fps the high res costs. if it isn't too much, ill download that. Again, congrats, and nice job blowing away the FP community.

The map itself isn't the greatest for performance, so don't throw out your laptop just yet...

Btw i have decreased the texture resolution down to 1024x1024. I have also taken out the mountain and finished 1/4 of the huge city around it. I have 23 custom skyscraper textures for the city so far and growing.
First, I want to say it's a nice map and I like it a lot. Doesn't lag me too bad, but the mountain is a nice touch and it's pretty awesome overall.
However, there's two things I want to touch on:
1. Elevators
The lifts are kind of confusing and not really well thought out (buggy, really). I think they should be more intuitive and better functioning.
2. Leak
After looking through the whole map, I only found one leak, here...

It's part of the big structure in the water. If you go behind the structure and face away from the mountains, it's in the water down to your right.
Oh yeah, also, the fast zombie was a nice touch. Scared the shit out of me.

Teleports will be pretty bad... It will just result in people merging contraptions by accident.

How would i solve the problem? The track things i can never seem to get to work.
I use func_movelinear for most of my elevators.
It works well at moving players and vehicles at a nice 1000 units per second.

Yeh i had already down that. There down to 1024x1024 but that's more than half the original file size. I have added 28 more texture to it, there mostly skyscraper texture. The file size non-compress at the moment is 98 megabytes. However compress its 60 megabytes so that's a huge improvement from 200 megabytes and with 28 more textures.
It's still way too big for a construct map.

It's not a construct map any more. It's RP I'm making this as big and as good as i can. I mean im building a full city around the original map which is huge.

I still don't see why you need custom textures for nearly everything..
Wouldn't it be much easier to just use the default HL2 textures for things like plaster, concrete, etc..and only use custom textures if needed, for things like skyscrapers, or new building materials?
For the past three days i been trying to dl this map, garrysmod.org failed with a DNS error (wtf) but finally filefront came through, Dl is in progress, i cant wait to play this map it looks awesome!
