Just too big of a download..[/QUOTE] default textures suck. we NEED custom texutures, they look a lot better. more detail is always good. less detail is bad. thats the way it is. 512*512 always looks like crap. i've tried many times to make them look good by repeating them, but most textures dont repeat well. 4024*4024 is an odd number to use, but its still a lot more detailed. on a side note, shouldnt the texture have been a multiple of two, like 4096*4096? edit: you did make some minor no-draw mistakes in places where players can still see bits of the texture - resulting in odd holes in the world. with a map this large and detailed its understandable - shit happens. other than these minor mistakes the maps you have created overall have been fantastic. atleast you are one of the few people that understands that visual detail does actually matter - largely including textures. there is nothing wrong with creating a construct style map. its a recognizable design and it means that you have a theme the map can sit on so things will look like they belong.

I laughed at the video with garry's bombs. You said there was hardly any lag. I saw quite a lot. It was even lagging while you were moving BEFORE the bombs blew up. Good work though. (at least my game would have crashed =P)
