I noticed these two options that I don't have, how do I get them?
I removed them as they didn't actually do anything.
I removed them as they didn't actually do anything.
So there is no way to load my map right into gmod after compiling?
So there is no way to load my map right into gmod after compiling?
Yes, start gmod up in the background. When the map is done compiling just alt-tab and launch it.

I keep getting that I need SDK 2013 Base for the setup... which I do have
I keep getting that I need SDK 2013 Base for the setup... which I do have
have you ran it at least once?
I keep getting that I need SDK 2013 Base for the setup... which I do have
Is it the multiplayer version (that's the one it requires for most things)? Also are you by chance using different install locations then the normal steam one (this was what messed it up for at least one other person)?
I have used it more than once MP. My steam location is F:/Steam/ So that is probably why, is there anyway to fix that? [editline]28th January 2014[/editline] Also I have tried running as administrator.
I get Steam Directory: f:/steam VProject Set To:: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\counter-strike source\cstrike
Hmm so it's not the Steam install directory that it can't find. Can you post the location of Source SDK 2013 Multiplayer?
Where would I find it? I thought Source SDK 2013 Multiplayer was just going to /common/game/bin for CSS, TF2, and all the HL2s. Edit: Never realized that you actually download something separate. Ill get it tonight and test it when I'm home. The more ya learn :P
Or... am I just being stupid (as usual). I don't plan on building mods so why would I need this...
Or... am I just being stupid (as usual). I don't plan on building mods so why would I need this...
The customConfig option is handy if you want to mount multiple games in hammer without eating up your harddrive space. Say for instance you want to use DoD and CSS materials and props in a map for Garrys Mod, using custom config you can set it up to mount both.
I've got some weird shit going on, when i first open hammer, on a fresh, unsaved file, i can place entities, but as soon as i start laying down brush work, I can't [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] I'm launching from customconfig [editline]2nd February 2014[/editline] I just remade the custom config, it seems to be working for now
Program just crashes/doesn't start for me. Running 64 bit windows 7 and have the latest .NET installed.
Program just crashes/doesn't start for me. I'll throw in a few more debug commands for next release.
Does packing bsp files work if vpks are used? [editline]12th February 2014[/editline] So like, can you pack textures from vpks in the assets folder?
Does packing bsp files work if vpks are used? [editline]12th February 2014[/editline] So like, can you pack textures from vpks in the assets folder?
If you're using a vpk you don't want to pack the bsp as that's the whole point of the vpk. It's mainly used for maps in L4D2, Portal 2, and Alien Swarm.
Alright, thanks. By the way, I found a bug in Source Multi-Tool's Hammer with Custom Config- for some reason it can't seem to save your option preferences or your visgroups for a map. I was running it offline, though I doubt that has anything to do with it. [editline]13th February 2014[/editline] Fixed that problem, though I ran in to another one: when setting up custom config, it doesn't save for some reason. Whenever I open the dialog box again, it just shows the that Half Life 2 is mounted and nothing else.
Whenever I open the dialog box again, it just shows the that Half Life 2 is mounted and nothing else.
The config option is only for when you want to redo the config. It's saved until you redo it so no need to reset it up each time.
Nice work, it seems that it works for E.Y.E. Thanks so much for this tool, its a huge pain in the ass to get the SDK for that game working manually.
Just a heads up, you can also put regular file system folders in the VPK addons area and they will still work in hammer.
I downloaded and tried it, but it does not start. I extracted it to the desktop and ran "Source Multi-Tool" (I made sure the fgd is in the same folder). I got no error, nothing. It just fails to run. I'm running the 64bit version of Windows 8´1.
Do you have multiple install locations for steam games? Just read this in the OP "*If you are one of them cool cats that uses multiple partition/drives MultiTool for the time being will only find your games that are located in same partition/drive as steam.". Even if I have the games installed on another drive than Steam, shouldn't it at least start?
I had to. [t]http://www.allianceforwaterefficiency.org/uploadedImages/Resource_Center/Library/water_resources/waterfall%202.jpg[/t]
Bad joke. Bad.
