Bunglist, are you able to retexture models in hammer or what ever you use? if so knowing its invisible may be a way around it. Crossing fingers!
quick question,...does the door controle have multiple textures at the moment or just one?
quick question,...does the door controle have multiple textures at the moment or just one?
multiple yea
hmm,...it somehow itches under my fingers but i'd like to have a look at this :D atleast i remember having the soundfile for the door opener somewhere ^^ (grrr...my mum just came in and said i shall turn off the pc for today -_- grrr) sry,...got to go ^^ gn8
Sucesss! looks pretty good, just need some goood textures to the base and a self lumination to the crystals then im done :D (Added kliener because its the first model i sucessfuly imported :P) by the way do you guys think it needs scaling down a bit more because i think it does.

Nice work on getting the textures working - what was the problem? I'm thinking scale it down by about half - the crystals are about the same width as the hand waved over them (I think... I'll post a screenie when I find one)

i thought the door control in atlantis was abit smaller then that
Ok few updates: 1) Scaling is done 2) Crystals have been made (managed to make it so you can slot them in) 3) Basic model finished Just texturing now, and if anyone can find out how to make transparent models/textures to work in game it would help alot with the crystals and the front glass. Heres a screenshot for the model and where im at:

[editline]02:31PM[/editline] Bunglist, you should make some more screens for the first page, the map is way bigger and nicer than only that tower, I'd make some if i could, but im still installing stuff cuz of virus.
Hey! I´ve tried to make another prefab. Here´s a screenshot: Here´s the source i was following: It´s soon done, and I will be posting an download link soon.

Anyway, add me on steam: nissehutt

RL age? of what?
RL age? of what?
Real life age of empires, you dont know age of empires? Anyways, is it one of the satelites the ancients build for their experiments with humans, with the computers on atlantis giving commands to a computer in the center of the villages.
In the episode titled "The Game" I believe
In the episode titled "The Game" I believe
I guess, but is it one of those satelites or not?
In the episode titled "The Game" I believe
You are correct, I think. There are two ancient satellites I've found pics of so far: The satellite modelled by dije and mattster.t, from the ep "The Game", but to be used as a general satellite or place to explore in the map. The "Defence Satellite" from the finale episodes of season one, "The Siege", which contained a giant Frikkin' Laser. Pics of both here: http://bunglist.com/gmodwiki/Ancient_Satellite
Hi! Look at my modded stargate universe gate. It´s not a Adv. Duplicator. It´s a modded version of Origate.
Dije, I've added you on Steam! Please contact me! (By the way I've started my own Destiny gate, and I will get a nice model for it soon)
Cool if you get a model you could just use the tool to swap the models that would be pretty good.

yorkus, I know that, but that model is even incorrect and incredibly hi-poly... I've contacted some more people about their model, one-two of them maybe wish to share it, but there is one for sure. He will polish it a bit, then I will convert it to MDL (with all seven chevron lock animation) then I just need to make every chevron a separate active material what is used when active, OR I will use the always-used glyph code from the show... BTW, that door looks pretty good, but IDK, maybe the lighting is bad, bud the controller should have the same material/color as the door's lighter brown... Oh and bunglist, some more additions if you make that main gamemode: Class system: -medical worker -engineer -research scientist -ground scientist (used in SG teams, like McKay, they can use weapons but mainly techno stuff) -soldier -civil (leadership, admins mainly)
yea the door has an early texture it aint final i was working on scale and stuff.
The door texture is nicer than the door control texture ;)
time for my update/boasting. iv got some half decent looking models in blender and just trying to get them into source now, fingers crossed ill work out the last few texture prob's and get them in little comparison http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/4059/ancientsatellite.jpg http://upload.bunglist.com/users/mattster/wooo%20hooo%20yeh%2011%20(fuck%20naming%20this%20looks%20the%20shit).jpeg i have to say Im quite proud of how its looking, its come out that nice I'm not 100% convinced I made it! (come on you've seen those half arsed buildings this thing cant be mine) -{update and lo, on the 4th day he did compile thou .QuakeC into a compound .mdl he saw that it was good. he then proclaimed loudly onto his followers "Woop!, Woop!, im da' man!. that makes me" while performing the ceremonial air punch. (in other words i managed to get that lovely probe into source for you all to enjoy, still needs a tiny bit of work on the scale and textures to make them look extra-awesome! but other than that you can expect it in the next beta. I might release it as a separate model too if you all want but for now I'm just pleased she's done) http://upload.bunglist.com/users/mattster/atlantis/Ships/gm_flatgrass0000.jpg i might have lost my professionalism here...
