I say please don't call me a certain insult, AAAAANNNNDDDD you guys just bitch at me.This is the end. It was a decent run but eh whatever. I'll try some other place. Have a jolly shit day gnampf and Richard.
Aw my day was going fine til I saw those stretched door textures :saddowns:
I'm now hosting a 20 slot darkrp server running rp_lyolux_v2 24/7. Mostly to piss gnampf off :v:
Its @ 167.114.65.100:27035 ("connect 167.114.65.100:27035" into console)
Report problems here

Also, to lyosea: Dont update the workshop file without letting me know or people wont be able to connect.
Also lower the filesize because uploading 200mb to the server via balkan internet really fucking sucks

Alright Richard Simmons and gnampf, how you fine men doing? So I updated this map cause you guys said the mayors office textures looked too "stretched" and the design was overall "bad" and I thought so too. So I took the month and a half in my spare time to fix it. Also added stuff that would make it seem for "interesting". Hope you like it, if you don't no big deal. I'm not going to cry and leave this site for good like I said. I'm a man, not a triggered feminist.
Enjoy!
i thought that windmill was super neato. Good work.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or seriousness. I'll go with both.
Anything else? No rush, I have all day.

Since you have all day, you can probably devote the 5minutes and rotate these wood frames 90 degrees so it doesn't look so ridiculous first of all. Judging on the way the grains are, who makes a plank of wood thats 7' wide, but makes it 4 inches thick? No one is cutting down red woods for some building.
Flush out the door jams. Whens the last time you saw door jams jutting out a quarter foot? Probably never if you've been inside a structurally sound building.

But where is the lie, though? That was like the second or third time he said he was going to leave and not come back.
Speaking of, I finally got around to playing the updated version of the map. I like the train station being a spawn point and a few other features like civilians walking around and how the city hall's windows outside actually sorta match the windows inside, but if anything it feels like all these additions wear off when you notice that it's still the same blocky old map but with just a bunch of new stuff added to it, instead of redesigning it to make it look less blocky. If you like it like that, that's absolutely fine. Just don't feel like you have to change anything to appease me because I never liked blocky maps and I never will. I can't speak for Richard, though.
Also do you know what's causing a skybox glitch where the sky just turns black whenever I move the camera in certain places? I would upload a picture if imgur wasn't being such a cunt.

I don't know if you're doing it on purpose or you just can't help yourself, but stop falling for his bait.
You've got a solid map, keep working on it. Take the constructive criticisms and build on it. If you don't know what counts as constructive, just take it as a rule of thumb that anything gnampf says is irrelevant and can be ignored.
It's your map, make it how you envision it and enjoy.
Thanks, I know they'll just trolling I just like to jag and complain to them. It makes me feel better. Honestly I don't think the wood frames are something that people really care about. Trust me with Richard and gnampf I can't win with them. Ever. They're just like Sjws. "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience"

Is that why in your pictures the skys black. Damn. Well the skybox texture is called mpa125 download from here http://gamebanana.com/textures/2619
I mean first you say you like to jag and complain to me and Richard, and then you contradict yourself "never to argue with stupid people". And then Richard asks you if you can fix the wood frames to make the map better, and then you refuse and say nobody cares about the wood frames, even though you keep saying you want to fix your map and make it better. Come on now, you're just a blithering mess of contradictions
As far as the skybox goes, what if you try using valve-made skyboxes? I personally use TF2 skyboxes because they look much more neater and clean, and I've never had any problems with them.

Can you play yourself to be more of a victim, please?
I have tried to be helpful, I have mentioned many things to you for you to improve the map upon. Stretched textures, blocky walls, poor lighting, bad textures. And I'm trolling you, because I'm providing criticism to your map? I hate to live in such a skewed broken hallucination that you call a reality. Your vision is so far obscured from the truth, that you suffer from wild delusions that you're a victim.
Go wake up from your grandiose disillusion you comfortibily hide yourself in to escape the reality that lingers outside your safe bubble.
Welcome to earth, where people try to give you pointers and you're just the poor broken soul getting bullied because they're giving you advice in improving your work.

What you said 3 days ago- "As far as the skybox goes, what if you try using valve-made skyboxes? I personally use TF2 skyboxes because they look much more neater and clean, and I've never had any problems with them."
What you said a few months ago "Plus, if you make an attempt to recreate a real life location as accurate as you can, you'll have much better buildings than flat looking blocks with generic HL2 textures"
You say I should use default hl2 skyboxes but a few months ago you called hl2 textures generic?
I'm not sure what to do. You say I'm being contradicting but here it shows you also do it. I wanted to use the custom skybox cause it fits the atmosphere better. Also I'm going to use a lot more models in the upcoming update.
P.S You guys really didn't find my post at least funny before. Not sure why I got banned. Again I can't ever seem to win on here lol.
Pretty sure you got banned for using a reaction image, those are generally frowned upon here.
I don't think the two are comparable though. For one, the skybox is just a sky. A few edits keystrokes and it's a whole new one. Anyone can do it, and if the ones Valve used are good enough, why not use them? On the other hand, a building is a building. It's what you interact with on a map like this one, and if you want it to cut corners and just do the bare minimum as far as making buildings go, with right angles galore and HL2 textures out the ass, it's going to definently show.
Also maybe if you actually responded to Richards post instead of posting dumb memes, maybe you wouldn't have gotten a ban. He actually made some good points about how you like to play the victim whenever someone offers critique of your map. If you want to show off your work without it being criticized or nitpicked, why even bother showing it off in the first place? "Don't say anything bad about my map!" Etc etc etc.

Oh are you now the third stooge?
Anyway, first I wasn't responding to any of you three, just Mr.Anonymous.
Second what exactly in your minds counts as bullying? If you go first responce when I ask a question just to throw me with big words such as "Go wake up from your grandiose disillusion you comfortibily hide yourself in to escape the reality that lingers outside your safe bubble."
Why can't you guys speak in simple language than throwing at thesaurus at me every time. Jeez.
You guys are seriously like the cancer of this forum website.
Yes the map could be improved, but it's okay in some areas, better than most people's first maps to be honest.
Lyosea, The problem is you keep falling for their bait. Just ignore em' and continue mapping, i'm sure you'll improve, it just takes time.

Not sure if you expected everyone to give you a big ol warm hug and a pat on the back for everything you made. We all understand that no one starts out making great maps, and its usually our peers that point us in the direction into improving our work. Mistakes are meant to be made, and learned from.
The power of constructive criticism is a strong force indeed. If you fail or ignore others words, your ability to self improve will be dwindled as you just think everything you create is a masterpiece.
And that itself is a bit of a disillusion is it not? To think everything you make is just good enough, and it doesnt require improvements. You'll have a hard time in this world to have a large ego, but no skill or modesty.
I am not one of those people who are going to sugar coat, and give you a hug. I rather see you improve on your work, but I would also enjoy if you improved your attitude as well.

One of your 'stooges' had some constructive criticism for you, but you seem to have ignored it in favor of making more snide comments about gnampf. You need to stop doing that, or this whole 'thing' between you two is never going to end.

All Richard Simmons is trying to say is that your map would look better if you rotated the textures on those wood door frames. The grain should follow the longest dimension, as it makes for a more believable cut. You need to stop taking these comments as personal insults. Look for the constructive criticism (if any exists) and ignore the rest.
