Suff like that.
Or stuff like this:

My neurofunk, minimal and atmospheric Drum and Bass selection on shuffle.
Example:

Or melodical death metal.

Usually nothing though. Ambient is pretty cool too.
Oddly enough, I listen to music with vocals, preferably multiple layers or singers.

But I'm also a big fan of Battles, they have some really good instrumentals.
I loop this

I'm too lazy to go find songs I like so I usually just put on a random internet radio station on www.shoutcast.com
I only have three regulars. The National's Blood Buzz Ohio, The National's Runaway, The National's Anyone's Ghost
You shouldn't listen to music with singing - it makes your brain want to focus on the things being said.

Not for me, oddly.

What? I'm serious.
Eminem
I don't listen to music because it makes me think of freeman's mind's joke " who knows what programmers are doing"

I agree that electronic music is better for this, but I mean, you should be able to focus on the actual task at hand (otherwise how are you ever going to be able to work in a corporate environment)
i put my itunes on shuffle. so alot of rap music.
Usually some melodic metal, classical, Hans Zimmer.
Been listening on Final Fantasy radio for a while now.

I literally just nostalgia'd all over the place... I used to play that game so much!
On topic; I don't usually listen to anything when I code, must stuff is really distracting to me. If I do listen to anything, it's usually really subtle ambient music... I can't really think of an example off the top of my head though :v:
