Battlezone I & II (1998)
The two FPSStrategy games with hover tanks that no-one's ever heard of.
How can you consider that underrated in any way?
Its hailed as the best game of all time.
If its something, its overrated.
People don't post games that are under-rated, just ones they think are, I doubt most of them know what the general consensus on the game they post.
I liked Dark Messiah's fighting system, physics, level design and I even liked the story (also you can make some choices on a few occasions during the game that have some impact). I think that Xana was a nice character, well developed and looked cool (and good voice acting especially for the French version which I played first before switching my Steam to English which also defaulted the VA to English). As for Prey I think that it had a superbly crafted setting and had a terrific atmosphere, I especially liked the first moments during the intro and inside the ship. I kinda had the feeling of playing a psychological thriller game or something, felt fresh and different yet still used known FPS genre mechanics, and of course the whole phase-shifting and turning levels upside down concept was cool and well implemented in my opinion.
Had loads of issues, such as the fact that the PC version needed a fucking crack to get it working (on my rig at the time, at least) but was fucking awesome.
The multiplayer would have been great if the game wasn't overshadowed by other major releases at the time (Half Life e.t.c), due to the weapons being spells (ter'angreal) that did various things, sure there's fireball, but shields that make fire worthless would mean you have to be more creative and use decay, seeker or soul barb and the like. The singleplayer was pretty fun, too, much as it deviates from the lore.
Amazing puzzle game with hilarious soundtrack. One of the best games i've ever played.
A very nice tank simulator for PS1
Another amazing PS1 game. Including the 1st and 2nd one too. (The cover image is the 3rd one)
Damn it, you took my words, OP. So I will just add on it it.... This game plays out like the classic era Sonic games, and in my opinion, I think it's better. (Come at me, classic fags) and it's a start to my favorite Sonic character. Too bad she gets bashed just because of her voice.... is that really what Sonic fans really judge Sonic characters by?
Dude, I thought I was the only one who knew evolva even existed. I have my cd still too.
this shit here
my entire summer '07 was spent playing this, good times.
Tradewinds is amazing, you all know it.
I liked this, even though if it's a bit "America: Fuck Yeah"
I remember playing Wipeout HD Fury. Eliminator was the shit.
one of my first pc games
Honestly, I consider this to be one of the most finely crafted open world games ever made. It's seriously exciting, really rewards exploration, and is incredibly atmospheric.
Also has an amazing soundtrack.
Also this game is amazing. But I almost never hear anyone talk about it.

This whole series.
Shit, I used to play Destroy All Humans all the time. Sadly it's not on PC.
Oh god, the theme is probably the best of any video game ever. I would sit at the start menu and listen to it every time I started it up.
It's to bad the sequel was so damn buggy and broken. Now they might never make another game again.

Despite the bugs in the second mercenaries game, I enjoyed it because I thought it was fucking hilarious. :v:
Couldn't stop laughing as I was fighting the VZ army and suddenly half of them fall out of the map.
Best game ever.
Disgaea, 1 and 2
Disgaea 2 was the better of the two if you ask me. There are four of them now but 3 and 4 are on the PS3 and I'm not going to shell out a few hundred bucks for that thing. There's also manga and stuff for Disgaea but I'm not into that stuff so I've never taken a look at it.
The idea of FOnline is interesting, however the Russians running around liquefying everyone with a minigun ruined it.
