• VALVE HAS UPDATED THE SOURCE SDK WHICH FIXED EVERYTHING UP, IF YOU HAVE RAN THE SDK PATCH YOU MUST REMOVE IT REMOVE TOOL: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10798900/dev.cra0kalo/Files/sdk_patch_remove.rar As seen at http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2178392 So yea Valve broke the SDK for some people, made this fix that will restore those black viewports and other stuff You must use the SDK gadget inorder for this to work because running the SDK again after the patch will overwrite the patched files What it does: Extract the patched .bin/ directory to your sourcesdk folder How to install: Place the executable in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\*username*\sourcesdk
folder and run, after it has been patched you must ONLY run the "hammer" "model viewer" "faceposer" from the SDK gadget because if you run the SDK again it will wipe the patched files -- Download -- Source SDK Gadget http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1122791 SDK Fix Remove tool http://www.mediafire.com/?nn95u074m0cd12r http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10798900/dev.cra0kalo/Files/sdk_patch_remove.rar (links removed) Mirrors : (links removed) Other info : Common Error Question: After i installed the patch when I run model viewer I get this error
The soundemittersystem system requires the filesystem to run!"
Answer : You just re-ran the source sdk -_- which means the patch has been wiped, rerun the patch this time dont run the sdk again I packed it all into a SFX so yea if you dont trust me just extract the files ONLY FOR SOURCE2009 (ORANGEBOX ENGINE)

 •
Mine says "Configure me!" but I'm not sure what to do. Any help?
It should point to the location of the GameInfo.txt, in the case for Episode Two: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\username\half-life 2 episode two\ep2

 • Fix doesn't work for me. No errors when configuring the gadget nor errors in the output box on startup, nor on the patcher. The black viewports still remain.

 •
Damn, is there a version of this for XP?
you can just unzip the sdk_core into the bin directories after you've run the SDK itself.
 •
Bandwith all exceeded.
added more links but far out so many people downloading its crazy
 •
This is probably a really stupid question but what's an SDK gadget?
Gadgets are mini-programs that offer information at a glance and provide easy access to frequently used tools. Some of the gadgets that come with Windows 7 are Calendar, Clock, Weather, Feed Headlines, Slide Show, and Picture Puzzle. • Letting steam refresh the SourceSDK files seems to make it work.
 •
They broke it, again. But patch doesn't work this time.
Everything has been fixed now I see no problems?
