  • [b]RELEASED[/b] Svn Info: _____________________ [url]http://subversion.assembla.com/svn/SicknessModel/[/url] [I] Last updated 3/31/10[/I] [B]NO REQUESTS![/B] Due to all the complaining about me talking about too many cars in my map thread I decided to share the info here in a totally separate thread. I am completing work on a new vehicle pack that will pretty much blow nearly every car pack out of the water. This pack includes everything from everyday average joe cars to top end sports cars. All with decent handling, decent interiors(most), and multiple skins on nearly every one. So far there are 34 vehicles total. 9 of which have been previously released. Making for 25 new unreleased cars. These cars are all converted vehicles from GTA4 and Need for Speed HP:2. The plan is to have around 45-50 cars in total. A release date has not been set but it will be released the same day and time as RP_Evocity2v2 which is slated for sometime within the next couple months or less. Also if you brilliant powers of deduction haven't figured this out. These cars are ALL properly animated drivable vehicles.   • I'd change the envmaps on the cars and use phong instead. They look way too shiny at the moment.
  • This pack is going to be huge, with the sounds, models....im going to clear up my hard drive.

One that is drivable like above, and one version that has all of these as just models, not vehicles, so we can use them for poses and comics? it's very frustrating trying to pose a statue ragdoll inside a vehicle where whenever you press e near is, you ahve to get in and out again, not to mention the suspension going up and down as you try to poses it.   • Those are some really nice ports, the smoothing on some of them is a bit funky though. But very nice over all.

I don't mind doing a little more work.

I have no idea why. So what I have to do is rotate it the proper direction in 3ds and then export it into ms3d.   • The air vehicles in my opinion were crap. The little bird was so damn weird and annoying to drive, I preferred the Huey over it. The planes are so fucked up when flying that I just can't do anything but get in, go forward, do 5 backflips a second and crash.

  • It's because they are usually rare that a flyable thing that isn't bad is released. Sakaria's was alright for a few days but then I saw big problems when I realized I could hardly ever fly it. One reason was the constant shaking. :argh:

  • Hold W to go up and you usually shake. It's from what I remember. Anyhow it feels like it's a contraption using Hoverballs. It's so IRRITATING
  • Bro if I may give you a tip. Don't EVER use autosmooth in Milkshape, I use Milkshape myself and find smoothing its only weak point, models look incredibly bad when smoothed in MS. Try using another program such as Max for that.

But in order for the animations to make the wheels not flash autosmooth has to be active but if you move the model at all it autosmooths but I cant turn off autosmooth move the model then turn it back on. I found a way around it. Some of the cars look messed up but the latest ones I fixed it. Like look at the Hakumai, I fixed the issue. I haven't had a opportunity to convert more cars as of late I planned on doing 3 today but lost interest. There are a few I wanted to do but can't. Like the firetruck because too many verts.
